Hello!

My fiance is going to Manilla for her medical exam and interview soon.

Does anyone know a good and safe place to stay near the hospital, like a boarding house, or not too expensive hotel. She will need to stay a few weeks.

City Garden was the best bang for the buck for me. Start around 2500 pesos and never give me a problem about paying with my Visa debit card. It's a few blocks from embassy and St Lukes.

September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)

May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

me and daughter stayed at Paragon Tower Hotel we booked through Agoda. the rooms are nice and big plus good for value $20/night or below depends on Agoda promos.

its just half block(few steps) away from SLEC and just 5min. taxi ride to USEM. and beside Paragon is Soriente Hotel you can also find it through Agoda

room rates is 1,699 Pesos per night.

Hotel Soriente @ 1,699 just a few steps from St.Lukes.

Tropical Mansion they have i think economy for 700php this is near at St.Lukes as well

Midtown Inn they have cheap rate 700 or 850/day w/ free breakfast. This is near Robinson and walking distance to St.Lukes. Hope that helps :)

Casa De Bocobo is where we stayed, the rates were reasonable around $30-$40 a night w/free breakfast and decent overall. I booked it on Expedia. It's about 2 blocks away from St Luke's and like 2 doors away from a McDonalds. It's a nice place to get setup during the medical process. You can find other accomodations after the medical exam that suit your taste/budget for an extended stay in other areas afterwards. I saw other hotels closer to St Luke's but I wasn't impressed with the looks or location(in terms of feeling personally secure) of them at first impression.
