Trump could just as easily write a check and help the poor without any particular reason. It seems to me that Trump is using the less fortunate to pander to the less aware.

The same issue was also brought up concerning Barry Goldwater, who was born in Mexico.

It's not about helping the needy, it's about attacking our president. Trump is trying to play the charity role to cover up the fact he still doesn't believe our president is American.

Here is the context of it: More than a few presidents have been caught in out right lies, some small, some very big. How many of them had to take a polygraph? The post is revered by the American People so that even when they screw up, you still respect the office. But Trump didn't get the memo. And it's the principle behind it, that's the reason why he hasn't done it.
