Hello fellows,my thread will be in two parts.

Part 1 - I just checked the Status for my I-485.they have scheduled us for the interview at NBC. NBC ? seriously , i thought the NBC/MSC do not conduct interviews.i did a little bit of research and what i understood of that is the online status normally(not always)says this but the interview will be held at my local field office which is in my case is either Chicago or st.louis (wish it is st.louis).i am expecting the notice for interview in mail which will make things clear.BTW the interview date they have mentioned online is the date when my I-94 expires :D that is November 26,2012 .if all goes well ,i will get my GC in less than 3 months.

Part 2 - we met online , i was working in canada at that time .after chatting, talking over the phone for 7-8 months we finally decided to meet.by that time it was clear that she is the one for me.so i flew down to chicago and we got engaged and i went back after two days.next time i came to US after 2 months and we got married in the court and i went back again.than i came after 2 months and took her to india to meet my parents.we had a religious marriage ceremony there and came back after a fortnight.we have been staying together since than for about 3 odd months.as a part of evidences to take along to the interview.we do not have much because , we stayed with my wife's parents for a month before moving to her sister's where we currently reside. we have a joint bank account, joint auto insurance.she had applied for my name to be on her employer's health insurance which is underway and will be done around our interview time.she is gonna put my name as a joint owner of the car but that too will be completed around the end of November(near the interview date).we have no utilities bills under our name (her sister's name)but she been making payments via cheque (containing both her and my name) to her sister. apart from that we have loads of picture during the courtship (me and her,she with my parents and i with her's), we gamble for fun so we do visit casinos .we have 3 members card from different casinos.i shop online and have plenty of receipts to prove that we both shack up together.other than that , i am not gonna put our names on any utility bills as we have plans to move after this process.what do you guys think ? Any advice , suggestion is welcome.

call USCIS, get an ISO, and ask exactly where the interview is to be.

Don't waste time on a CSR, the first human that answers the telephone.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

1. The interview will be at your local office. The online interview notification system is rather new and has a few quirks. Nothing to worry about.

2. If you are married you don't "shack up together." USCIS understands that newlyweds don;t have a lot of evidence, so don't worry and bring what you can. If they aren't satisfied they can ask you questions about your daily routines and that will erase any doubt. Good luck.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Kintu: Can you please share your time line? Such as when you sent your AOS package in, when you got your biometrics app. completed, or if you got one, when you got your EAD etc. Just curious! Thanks a lot! :) And fingers and toes crossed for your interview! :)
