NOA 2 rcvd yesterday! :D

We just got our NOA2 approval text yesterday! Ready to get onto the next step and get it done!!!

I assume it will take what, about 5-6 weeks for the NVC to get us a case number? My Brother in Law just got his NOA2 on Sept 20 and the lawyer told him they wouldn't have what they needed to start next step until Nov 2 when they set him an appointment.

We are still waiting for USCIS to announce the office process change to the i601 waiver process before we move forward but I don't think waiting one or two months will make much of a difference, even though the lawyer is guessing it will be announced by the end of 2012.

04/04/2022: Status changed to “The U.S. Department of State has received your application for your passport book on 04/04/2022. We're now reviewing your application and supporting documents...Your application locator number is 51*******.”

04/04/2022: Check for passport cashed.

05/03/2022: Status changed to "The U.S. Department of State approved your application for your passport book. We're now printing your passport book and preparing to give it to you. You should receive your passport book on or around 05/09/2022."

05/05/2022: Passport Received.

05/09/2022: SSA Citizenship Status Updated.

05/25/2022: Naturalization Certificate received in mail.

We sent out the I 130 the end of Aug 2012, so based on your case I'm assuming I'll get a response around February 2013?

I would definitely plan for it to be that long, at least, since my brother in law's took the exact same amount of time too. They only filed about a month and a half ahead of us.
