Hi Does anybody know how long The NVC will receive the Form 184 EZ and supporting Documents from the date we sent? We sent it today and How do we know if they got it or how can they notify us for the next step. What is the next step for this? How long will I wait for the Interview schedule? Right now we are gathering documents for the DS 230 form the Immigrant Visa Application, We havent sent yet because we are not yet notified by the NVC to do it.

Right now we are gathering documents for the DS 230 form the Immigrant Visa Application, We havent sent yet because we are not yet notified by the NVC to do it.

Don't wait on the NVC to notify you of anything. If you do, you will be waiting for a long time and that wait will have been needless. Has the Immigrant Visa application bill been invoiced yet? If so, have you paid it? If you have paid it, does the payment portal indicate "PAID" next to the bill? Once the payment portal indicates "PAID" for either bill, the forms and accompanying documentation can be sent to the NVC.

You should hear from them in two weeks but do not wait. You next step is to submit DS230 form with all supporting doc

Marriage certificate

birth certificate

police certificate

etc

Complete DS230 part 1 and 2 send it back home for applicant to sign and get everything ready. As soo Affidavit of support is approved they will ask you to pay DS230 fee which you will online and then print out your cover sheet that you will attach to DS230 and sent in all docs with DS230.

After DS230 and all docs are sent, NVC schedules interview within 3-4 weeks.

I wasted alot of time getting togather my documents so i would reccomenbd you do not waste your time. The process is faster nowadays cuz of online communications and all forms being available online so donot waste time :)

to 'wait for notification' usually means yer waiting on a piece of postal mail.

Whilst that's certainly OK to wait, expect to wait 3 months.

MOST people here want to 'go fast' and use, instead, the fact that the barcoded coversheet exists, combined with a NVC paid receipt, available to print (all at the NVC payment portal)

as

the visual clue that it's OK to send stuff in.

Please to find LingChe in the Wiki here, read all of it.
