What news from DoS Hotline, on today's call?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

the dos office is closed due to the storm my friend in ukraine said he called office in keiv they tell him still pending. i know during interview was given pink paper and officer asked for cert birth record and same day it was sent however per ustraveldocs.com the birth record is still in route. also the officer told sveta within 15 days will have visa and cbp package . i am sure soon sveta will have visa and with the storm in washington may delay some things as everything also connects their computer system?

i was told to learn passport status can make request at

passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com and in topic use only passport

update the embassy called sveta yesterday and told her she is still approved. and by end next week should receive visa. the call center/tnt the embassy uses is not helpful at all they give very old infomation and the embassy told sveta the 15 day started nov 7 once her docs got to the department so took almost 2 weeks from when mailed
