I'm sure this is actually a good thing, but I'm confused. I got this message today in my e-mail from USCIS. I'm confused because it says Application for Adjustment of Status but then they say they're sending the renewal card. Do they mean the EAD? I'm sure they can't mean the greencard. This is the message:

Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On October 30, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

What does this mean? I want to call USCIS but it's too late. What exactly has been approved?

:help:

Omg!! WOW! I can't believe we're already approved. How on earth is such a thing possible? I'm going to call USCIS tomorrow just to be sure because it seems a bit beyond belief.

Karen!

You can tattoo LUCKY on your forehead cuz that's exactly what you are!!! I'm so amazed that I hopped on VJ just in time to see your post. I'm so happy for you! That is such incredible and wonderful news!

On my end, we're filing a I-192 Application for Advance Permission to Enter as a non-immigrant. I still can't find any info on VJ about it. Lawyer #3 says it may be 6-8 months from now before I'll be doing the party dance with you!

Abbraccioni!!

Look at your NOA's and that tells you what type of petition they are referring to in your email.

That should tell you that you don't need to call the misinformation line to confirm anything.
