About NOA1

Finally we got our NOA1 my fiance called me last night telling me that we have NOA1 hope im not dreaming

coz the last time he said we recieved NOA1 it was false alarm it was a returned application due to wrong money order.

My question is this do u think guys i can set up my own email account im the beneficiary???my fiance has his own estimated time which is according to him we can be together in 6months after filling of application he got this idea from his lawyer,but i don't agree in this so i want to set up my email add to see if someone working in our case...so help me guys.Thanks!

Does your Fiance already have a USCIS online account? If so, can he not advise you of status changes?

With the A# from the NOA-1, you can start an account. You will need an e-mail address as well. Here is a link to the USCIS account site:

No,i don't think he can have that he only believe in whatever his lawyer telling him, he doesn't even know what is NOA1 means im just updating him if i read something here in the forum...btw his busy working in iraq no time for this.

Then you should get your case number and sign up for USCIS "case status online".

Your attorney should be keeping you updated, but their is nothing wrong with you independently monitoring your case status.

Six months may or may not be a realistic timeline. This all is predicated on which service center he filed the application and what is your country of residence. If you update your information then others in a similar situation can give you information on there journey.
