Can anyone clarify for me whether the choice of agent can be named the US spouse? I was hoping I could complete all the paperwork here that would normally go to my husband in Morroco. He has signed the choice of agent form already and I have it, and I was hoping once the paperwork starts from NVC I can just send these forms in without waiting for it to go to my husband in Morocco.

Nevermind, I found my own answer :) It doesn't have to be a lawyer to be the agent, it can be the spouse.

most of us, members at the DIY portal known as VisaJourney.com

do not use a lawyer ..

and

have the USCitizen Spouse set up as the agent o choice.

<EOM>

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thank you ,

Do you know how long it takes the choice of agent to arrive to Morocco, before I can submit it from here?

I had my husband in Morocco send me a signed choice of agent form, so that I don't have to wait for him

to receive it and mail it back. I guess at the point he tells me it came to him, I will just mail it from here. I'm sorry that I'm confusing you. I'm trying to speed up the process by avoiding that first step of waiting for the choice of agent form to get to him in the mail! I do understand the rest of the steps, and have him sending the forms signed in advance so I can complete the rest.

IMO, by the time HE receives a ds-3032 via postal mail in Morocco, it's a tad late .

we likes to go fast here - are you studying LingChe on the wiki ?

whilst yer at it, have him send 4 signed DS-230 forms to you (all blank but signature)

Thanks for the advice, I will have him send those along... I see we both have a difficult task because

we both have spouses from the hardest consulates! I didn't know that until I went to a lawyer and she

informed me of that, then she said she could help me for $6,000 lol, but couldn't guarantee a visa for him.

Lawyers..

I see you have been married for 4 yrs, I hope that you have great luck in getting your family/wife here.

I have no idea what Lingche is ? I will take a look to see what you are talking about.

Thanks,

I'm still learning my way around this website, its not the most user friendly and can be a bit confusing.

I did find what you were talking about, thank you :) I have tended to google a lot when I need an answer, I will now use wiki.

Make the LingChe Wiki page yer bible, for the next two weeks.

When yer ready, come join a monthly NVC topic -

here's October, for example:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/391875-nvc-filers-october-2012/

Usually the first or first and second posts contain links to all of the info you need.

LingChe is a bible for getting in/out NVC in a quick fashion.
