A football player here in Ga that was 17 , and had sex with a 15 year old. I think only about 14 months difference in age. It was consensual and the kid got sent to the slammer. This was a gross injsutcie. Intreenly enough Georgia's own black atty general would not help despite pleas from many white leaders.

I'm glad we can agree to disagree, nothing wrong with having a healthy discussion about it, I know this case has more holes than swiss cheese, so I can only say what I have researched. There was another case where a black high school kid got accused of rape by a white girl, he did hard time, she got paid a few million, and then she recanted the story but kept the money. Sometimes we are our own worst nightmare.

I always try to look at things logically and with empathy. I never said we should prosecute innocent people without due process, I was simply pointing out the flaws in the legal system, that race and gender do matter in more cases than not. I don't care what color you are, if it's wrong then it's wrong. Male or female as well.

When one takes in the conversations thatgoes on concerning these cases and nearly any other where two groups are involved... it must be asked- How is diversity our greatest strength?

Each year the accusation of "racist" seems to grow an ever common part of our conversations, each year the EEOC has a larger and larger case load of complaints to investigate and prosecute.

Every year people seem to marvel that these clashes "still take place" as if we are going to ... (or should have) turned a corner decades ago.

And I know that having faith in "Diversity" has somehow has morphed into our national religion and heretics like me who observe the Emperor has no clothes are the bad guy (not that I mind) but I can't help but wonder how long the myth can continue?

How long before we accept, Diversity is not a strength but more often times an obstacle and at best meaningless.

The term Racist used to have a meaning a definition but when you consider nearly everyone who posts in P&R has been accused of it you have to ask yourself... where is this going?

Ok let me break it down for you, George Zimmerman is not a white man, he is of mixed heritage, he is white and hispanic. And he did kill him, period. Now is he guilty, that's up for the court to decide. But do I think he should be out free, while others who haven't even hurt someone sits in jail? No, I believe in fair play across the board.

You've been responding to this since it started, I have not once said anything hateful, or racist. I have pointed out facts and evidence. If something I said something that offends you I apologize. And if I am out of line, then I know a Mod will correct me.

1. Why is having an opinion about someones guilt or innocence such a big deal. I bet guilt or innocence in cases is one of the most widely discussed topics in every burg USA for any big case. If we were on the jury, worked on the case, were supposed to be an un-biased news reporter that is one thing. Not once has anybody advocated GZ not getting a trial.

2. I don't think a black person siding with TM is any more racist than a white person siding with GZ. We are from different cultures and see things different ways. The jury will sort it out.

3. The only caveat I see is the Media has gone out of ti's way to portray TM as adorable little sweet kid, who just wanted his candy and GZ as a monster. The truth will come out. However until then I see no harm in disinterested parties having an opinion. What are we supposed to do issue a gag order for the whole country ?
