Ehanks for the prayers, some rural areas will have landslides and breakaways, if you live in a no flooding area things are not that bad, its afre noon and there are no mighty winds just the steady rains and some people with no water coming from the tap, however many had stored water, the supermarkts made money and honestly if you work in an essential services job, and dont reside in a flood area a person can still easily go to work avoiding gully areas and large pool of water, of course many who build on free gully bank land are being housed in schools . hopefully they will leave it clean and not vandalize, overall it could be worst I have heard no life taken yet on the news hope there will be none ....thanks again people, its just announced its a Category one hurricane. Bridge wall in Kintyre just broke away

* Will head towards Cuba, Haiti, Bahamas & Florida areas

glad somebody has a update... my husband hasent called me and im getting kinda worried. he lives in portmore, so i dont know how that effected the area. i hope he calls me soon.

Just talked to my husband and he has lost his current. He is safe, he did charge all his phones, his laptop, bought candles, tin food, wata . Thank god I brought him a suitcase full of flashlights and batteries...

It has moved from a cat 1 to cat 2 and it looks like tropical storm Tony is not to far behind. My prayers are out to all of Jamaica.

I was stuck there during Ivan and it was not fun. However, that is when I truly saw how Jamaicans really stay!! They are there to help each other, share what they have (saws, tools, generators, food and more). I'll never forget the day Ivan was final over, I think everyone played the Storm is over now by Terry Linen, the sun came out and people all around still smiled, even with water damage, roofs gone and more. Jamaicans are truly strong and survivors.....

Much love and prayers being sent

Well Sandy came and went, there was one death after , the soil is soft & boulders are falling so a man

standing in his yard was crush to death by a boulder, St Thomas, Clarendon, St Mary, Kingston/St Andrew

and Portland had some damages ; gulleys,& roofs off,St Mary lost most of its Bananas, plaintains, Breadfruits

& avocados there will be a glut this wk on the market, Porland and Clarendon was bad but Yallahs & Bull Bay direction got a beating,Some schools will not reopen until Wed.Manchester Hanover St Bess & St James was OK

JPS shut down 75% lights on island Wed nite, JDF did some airel patrol, while JCF manned the businesses and residentil areas, a few pockets of attempt to cause trouble because JCF was on high alert so that failed, there was also no water, cable & most ppl cell phones died, but most ppl had stored water & food while returning to candles, lamps & flashlights, some famlies played board games or 20 questions under the lamp, while some griped about having no light or water, many with transistor radios listened to the talks shows some even called Dear Pastor.

It started here as a storm but by Tues nite upgraded to Category 1 hurricane ,as she rolled out early Thurs morning to Cuba, Bahamas & Haiti it became a Category 2 hurricane killing 22 throughout the Bahamas, 25 in Haiti & rumors says a few in Cuba, JA once again dodged the ball & for all the prayers we are grateful.

How we take things for granted the flick of a switch, the turn of a tap & wallah the small things that we

yearn when not avaiable, so as things slowly return to normal I am back on my PC  70 % light is back & 50 % water and I just know my cable is back

I say ....it could be worst.

The End
