And we know everyone deserves equal opportunity to be a snake.

A lot of it depends on who's going to end up pulling Romney's strings. If it's the same bunch that led Bush by the nose then this country will go into a bigger land slide that it already has. Romney is going to have handlers and it all depends on what the agenda of his handlers is.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

His foreign policy advisers are the old Dubya crowd.

Out of the 24 special advisors that Romney has on foreign policy, 17 served in the Bush/Cheney administration.

Enjoy the landslide.

He was actually a decent governor of Mass. Had he used that persona to run for President, the EC map would look very different.

I agree, I'm not sure why he thought he needed to change his perception. He could have touted the Mass Healthcare system that he devised, which was also the model for Obamacare as a good thing and this election would probably be a cake walk. He also could have come out in favor of a womans right to chose. He needed to reach out to the middle more and I think things would be a lot different right now.

I think by now (I pray) that they know the US is not into a new war. Is he going to sell us out to the likes of the Haliburton crowd or did they learn anything?

That's a pretty scary risk to take, in my opinion. "Let's hope they've learned their lesson!" Yikes.

I wouldn't be surprised if Romney gets more votes over all but loses with the EC. I don't put much stock in these polls myself.

I think your on the money there.. I was doing that little map yesterday for that thread where they are guessing the states - it seems to have gone away - going through the undecideds one at a time it all seems to come down to Ohio and I think that one is going to Obama.. Where did that other thread go? I have my map dangit!

That's actually an interesting point. How much have we heard the RWNs saying if only a true conservative would run, it would be a landslide victory. And yet, Mitt's numbers improved only after he abandoned the RWNs following the nomination. Makes it sufficiently clear that the country isn't supporting the RWNs preferred policies.

Did you live here when he was governor? I lived through his administration and I thought he was a terrible governor.

During the debate Romney once again mentioned the Abigail Adam's scholarship in the same misleading way that he presented it as governor.

We were told that if your child does well on the MCAS they can get a "free ride" and attend a MA state school "tuition free". My daughter was a recipient of that scholarship so imagine our shock when we discovered that we would still be paying thousands each semester for her college tuition. In MA the tuition is the smallest part of the cost for college. The bulk of the cost is related to fees. The education budget cuts Romney made impacted schools who in turn passed those costs on to students as increased fees.

The mandatory health plan which Romney was involved in requires MA residents to have health insurance meeting specific criteria. If you cannot afford it then you are penalized when you file your taxes and must pay a fee for not having adequate coverage.

He has always favored the wealthy and big businesses. He is not for Middle class and in fact does not even seem to know what it means as he believes people earning 250k are in the middle class. I would say anyone earning a quarter of a million dollars is wealthy not middle class by any stretch.

He does not support planned parenthood which helps lower income women to obtain birth control and gyn services besides the controversial abortion services they offer.

I could go on and on.

If you look at the polls it is very clear that Romney is not liked in MA. I seriously hope he loses because he would destroy the country.

well there is a terrifying thought! Bush had a bunch of warmongers advising him!
