You are good to go. You met the requirement of meeting within two years when you apply the petition. I had that worried before since my husband went to Philippines last Dec 2009 and we filed our petition on June 2011 and yet we still got approved. Just submit all essential evidence on your petition and show it during the interview to prove your relationship. Plus, he needs to have a job that will meet the income requirement before your embassy interview.

now this has got me worried - i first met my fiance in dec. 2011, started going out with him jan.2012 before he went back to the philippines. we then had an ongoing online relationship which became official in june 2012, met up again in hongkong aug.2012. i filed the k1 petition on oct. 1, 2012 with a NOA 1 dated oct. 4, 2012. still waiting for NOA 2 (we're assigned to the VSC). still hoping for the best possible outcome.

however, as one of the posters previously stated here, the petition is not a visa. and that is not the one which will be denied or approved. it is up to the USEM in Manila to decide whether we have a bonafide relationship and on that basis will either issue or deny the k1 visa. so we still have a long journey ahead of us.

jbee...You and codeblue will be fine at the USCIS stage of your visa journey. You both have met in-person with your sweethearts within two years prior to the I-129F petition being filed.

Best wishes to you both for a smooth and speedy visa journey... :star: :star:
