Hi vj members, I am a little confused. Ok yesterday my wife called DOS to find out about our case which is in AP, and the lady who answered the phone told my wife that they no longer have our case on their file, and that the case now is with the embassy but still pending AP. What I don't understand is who does the AP? Is it the Embassy or the DOS? I thought once placed in AP by the Embassy the case is forwarded to the Dos to do the security checks and clearance then send back to the bembassy when done.Does this mean the Dos has completed their part? Anybody who knows what all these mean pliz help. Thanks you all

I could be wrong but it sounds like the DOS has done its job (background checks), cleared your case file and sent it back to the consulate for a final decision

You should hear back from the consulate hopefully soon.

Good luck to you
