Hello everyone.

I recently just got married from my back home country which is Morocco, now i'm exactly 4 years in USA.

My question is which one is better sent the I-130 form or just wait tell i will have my citizenship next years? :(

You can file for I-130 (F2A-Spouse of LPR) now and just upgrade it later to CR1 after you have completed your US citizenship.

Send it now so that it can get into the line since it is now taking almost 7 months to get an approval for some people. As soon as you become a USC email the certificate with your request for upgrade. By that time you would have already have your case number. Good luck.

Petitioner LPR upgraded to USC June 22, 2012
August 22, 2012: case complete
October 18, 2012: Interview (APPROVED)
October 26, 2012: Picked up visa from DHL (delay caused by Sandy)
December 15, 2012: POE Atlanta....................became USC July 2016!!!!

Mothers' Journey (My sister is the petitioner)

September 10, 2013: Sent I-130 (UPS next day service)

September 12, 2013: Received text to confirm delivery

September 16, 2013: Received NOA 1

March 22, 2014: Received NOA 2

April 8, 2014: File Received by NVC

May 26, 2015: Interview (approved)..........now LPR (delays caused by 2 RFE)

thank you apple 21 & velrich for your replay, just wanna make sure if this way is safe and faster if its the same thing then leave everything till i get my Citizenship
