Getting married in Japan

I am US citizen and will be getting married to my fiancée (Japanese citizen) in Japan in January 2013. I've already checked on the Tokyo embassy's website about how to get married in Japan at the following link: http://japan.usembassy.gov/e/acs/tacs-7114a.html

Do I need a visa to get married in Japan? Do I just simply go as tourist with no visa?

The embassy's site doesn't mention anything about needing a visa. However, I just want to see if anyone on here can confirm this information.

OP are you planning on living there or just getting married there that is two different things. Some one can come to the US and get married and then return home and the spouse would file the I130.. Not sure of the whole immigration process in Japan but I would check with their immmigrations department website

you can get married and file 1-130 your the us citizen petitioner,the japanese citizen is the beneficiary,

But do I as the American going to Japan need a visa for Japan to get married to a Japanese citizen? I will only be there 2 weeks.

I am not going to live there. We will get married in Japan, and then I will come back to the US and file the I-130 for my fiancée.
