I dont have a answer but i have a advice for you , never lie to any immigration officer doesnt matter if it seems like the best choice.

It's not a good idea to lie at POE. Just carry evidence of intent to return to your own country incase you have to go to secondary. Unless you have a blot on your travel record, I doubt you will have any problems. Enjoy your trip!

That's not a lie, unless your fiancée is not your friend, in which case you have other issues.

On one of my visits I was asked the purpose of my trip, I said "to visit a friend", the officer asked "girlfriend?" and I said yes. That was the extent of our conversation before he stamped my passport and I went on my merry way.
