Gotta give it to you, you had it almost right in terms of the electoral vote distribution. You just allocated them the wrong way.

FL will go to Obama. Check out the counties that are already in and done. My home county, for example. Obama matched his 2008 performance here. And Hillsborough county has always been the indicator as to where the state goes. You were wrong on the map and you are wrong on this prediction, too. Come to think of it, you're not really good at being right. Like, ever.

Sure it does. It's like predicting a hurricane. Steven will end up having predicted the intensity and point of landfall properly.

I got the point of landfall right but was slightly off on the intesity of the storm. You, on the other hand, had the intensity correct but you told folks in Miami not to worry because the storm will make landfall in North Carolina. Oh yes, it matters.

Not at all. The President won re-election by a significantly larger margin of victory than I expected. Contrary to my gut feeling, he actually carried my home state once again. That's not worse, that's better.

The federal government should take over Florida and take away its statehood. Turn it into a territory. Give Puerto Rico statehood instead. We keep the star count at 50 and Florida gets a few decades to recoup and perhaps one day re-enter this hallowed (wait, Oklahoma is a state, ok maybe not so hallowed) union.

Or, instead of giving Puerto Rico statehood, make them part of the state of Florida (so they get statehood) and change the name to Puerto Rico and move the capital to the island. Tell Florida (or what used to be Florida) they get their state back when they learn to act right and behave.

Republicans have taken a pretty significant beating in Florida on Tuesday. Most of the constituional amendments that the Republican legislature put on the ballot were rejected. Including an anti-Obamacare amendment, an anti-abortion funding amendment and a religiously motivated amendment.

Allen West was ousted. Bill Nelson re-elected. The state legislature lost it's Republican supermajorities and Republicans also took severe beatings in local races around the state. In two years, we'll get rid of Scott. I can smell it - it will be morning in Florida. And then we'll do elections right again.

2000 was 12 years ago! No more excuses. It's time to go sit in the outhouse for a century or two and think about what you done.
