Name Misspelled on EAD

My husband's EAD came in, we didn't realize until we went to get him a drivers license...His last name is misspelled on the EAD card.

I contacted USCIS and the only information the person gave me was "It may take 16 days for a response."

Has this ever happened to anyone on VJ?

Can my husband continue to look for a job while we're waiting for "a response"? Or will the misspelling cause a problem?

I feel so bad for my husband, he is so bored sitting around our house with nothing to do. He wants to be able to drive places and get work somewhere.

Any other info you can provide will be helpful.

Thanks!

He can look for a job, but this is something you should get fixed with USCIS so the error does not also appear on the GC. I would make an INFOPASS to make sure the name is spelled correctly in his file.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
