i just want to know how much is the total cost of bringing my mom here in america? and what are the requirements needed?

also i need some help about birth certificate issues.. cause the name of my mom in here birth certificate is Merlinda, and on my birth certificate shes Leonila...

even in her marriage certificate...

She dont know that her real name is Merlinda till my grand father died and she needs to process the burial and some stuff but then she needs a proof.. so she go to NSO to get her authenticated birth certificate. to her surprised she found out that she is Merlinda, not Leonila..

so now, i need to know what to do on her birth certificate.. and how much it cost to change the Merlinda to 'Leonila..

thanks guys for your reply... :)

Are you already a US citizen?

First, your mom should go to the Local Civil Registry of the Municipality where her birth certificate is registered.

She may need to have her Merlinda BC corrected since all her documents bears the name Leonila.

The LCR will advice her on what to do.

I just read your (Aljerence's) profile.

Sorry but you cannot file a petition for your mom as of this time.

You have to naturalize first. Since you entered the US via K1, it will take 3 years before you qualify for US citizenship.

A green card holder/LPR cannot petition for his/her parents.
