Husband and I agree on most things political, and also that everybody who isn't actually thinking about what/who they're voting for is just sheep and @#$%ing stupid.

Nope. When I said "Republican" I meant Conservative, and most likely a Republican. I just wanted to see for sure what her views were on a multitude of issues that were important to me.

Fair enough. Besides the issue of life, which I understand has a faith component to it, which other planks of contemporary American conservatism would you say indicate that someone has sound moral character?

My guy is a forklift driver, who is 7 years younger, watches baseball, basketball and boxing and drinks his beer out of a can or a bottle. None of that fancy stuff though. He likes good old Budweiser.

We don't really talk about politics much but we share most of the same political views.

My fiance and I pretty much have the same views politically (we're more libertarian I guess). I'm Canadian, so the US election process is sometimes baffling and frustrating but I'm trying to learn about it without getting caught up in the party bashing. Giving up my healthcare is the most frightening aspect of moving.

I always wonder if two [married] people with complete different ideas and views on politics can get along; specially when things are as critical as they are nowadays. people can get really nasty when discussing politics. I wonder if they are the same way with their husband, wife, etc..if they disagree with them.

My parents were married for 53 years until my father died. They were politcal opposites, both very strongly opinionated and had a 15 year age difference.

Alla and I wear their wedding bands, given to me for that purpose. We should be so lucky
