Hi all again . well to be short .. i got married two days ago    . I want to start with the I-485 Package i read the guides and i was very helful but still i have some doubts.( I know this is not the forum for the change of status but i didnt find one related only to k-1 visa) .. :help:

The form I-163 (medical examination) is says that is not required to have another one but if i'm missing any shots i have to send a vaccinations transcription . So the question is this one .. How do i know if he is missing any shoots ??? when he did the examination in cuba he had it all , i dont know if in the U.S required more.

The form I-765 ( Employment Authorization) i went online to find the additional documentation that is required but it varies on the case and it gets a little be confusing .If someone please tell me what it the required documentation for the K_1 visa ...

Thanks all in advance ..( i hope someone move the topic to where it belongs ) :)

Read and follow the instructions here http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

Download forms here http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

As for the I-693: People do say it's fine to send the DS-3025 alone BUT to be safe and not get and RFE you need to find a Civil Surgeon in your area to see if you need more vaccines and to transcribe the DS-3025 info to the I-693 ( this can be costly in some areas)

When filing the AOS you will pay $1070.00 to file the I-485, I-765 & I-131

As for documentation, read all in the first link and things will go well.

Good Luck and Congratulations on your marriage (F)

I believe if he passed the medical in Cuba and at the interests section, he has all the vaccinations he needs. My husband (then fiance) didn't get anything additional - they never questioned it. Make sure you file for the EAD (employment authorization) and the Advance Parole at the same time as the AOS.

The VJ guide is good, but Vanessa&Tony's guide lays out exactly what is needed for each form in an easy to follow list: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/235331-aos-ead-ap-from-k1-the-aussie-way-doc-list-included/

You do not need another medical, and you may not need to see a civil surgeon at all. If you had all the required vaccinations at the time of your medical and they are all marked off on your DS-3025, then skip the civil surgeon and just send in a copy of your DS-3025. Here are details of how to know if your DS-3025 is ok to send alone or not : http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/335754-ds-3025-complete-or-not/page__p__4971318#entry4971318

so he did not send anything related with vaccinations?

Yes, he sent a copy of his vaccination record and a translation of same. With a note on the bottom of any translated document (you should translate his birth certificate) that says:

I certify my competency to translate this document from Spanish to English and that the translation above is an accurate and complete translation of the original document in Spanish.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
