My fiancé had received in the mail our Post NOA2. What will be our next step?

He has just completed the requirements on his side and will be sending them to me here in the Philippines. I have started to gather my the requirements on my side and will finalize the date for my medical exam once my requirements are completed.

Who should be the one to contact the embassy for my appointment/interview schedule?

Manila Embassy:

After NOA2 AND YOU HAVE YOUR MNL #

(don't need to wait for the letter from the embassy )

Once you have your MNL # you can take your passport and required visa fee (in Php) to BPI and pay your visa fee. The embassy website states that within 4 hours of paying at BPI you can schedule your interview appointment but most times it seems to take about 24 hours.

When scheduling online with the embassy you need to include the "XX" at the beginning of the passport number, your passport number IS your receipt number (normally).

Fee Payment Options

Bank Payment Process Change: Review the new instructions for paying at the bank. Starting September 1, 2012, it will be necessary to bring the printed deposit slip to the bank for payment. The bank will not process your visa fee without the correct deposit slip.

Cash at Bank

You can pay your nonimmigrant visa application fee with cash at any Bank of Philippine Islands. Before going to the bank, you must print the applicable U.S. visa application deposit slip available below on this page. Take the printed deposit slip with you to pay your fee.

DO NOT print multiple copies of the same deposit slip. You must have a unique deposit slip for each transaction.

If you print a deposit slip in advance of the day in which you plan to make your payment, please take note of the expiration date on the deposit slip. If the expiration date passes prior to using the slip to make your payment, simply return to this site and re-click the appropriate link below to generate a new deposit slip. Bank agents will NOT accept payments based on expired deposit slips. Upon receiving of your payment, bank will issue you a receipt. Save your receipt. It cannot be replaced if it is lost. I have a question here that is related to this post.Today , I paid my Visa fee at BPI, and this afternoon I called the embassy to have an interview date slot but unfortunately the person assisted asked if i receive a letter from us embassy ( paket 3) i said not yet, i told him that my fiance got our MNLCASE # BY CALLING NVC, he told me to wait for the letter.I confused now.do i really need to wait? another option he gave me was to tell my fiance to call bck NVC to ask the exct date they forwarded our papers in mnila by then i can have interview slot. I was thinking im going to take the 2nd option. Any members here who encountred this kind of situation.. pls. do shre thnk you so much..I am planning to call again the us embassy tom..

schedule it online instead of calling it will be less of a hassle, a lot of times i read here that they dont send out packet 3, i scheduled mine 6 hours after i paid at BPI and that was last month and i got the packet 3 more than a month from that date.. so i would say do it online and dont wait for packet 3

you get to chose on the available dates that they will show, after you schedule your interview online they will send an appointment letter on your email and all you need to do is print it out i am from Mindanao so i will be doing everything in 1 week and hopefully things will turn out ok.. medical on monday and tuesday, CFO on wedenesday, rest for thursday, and interview on friday this will be on the first week of November.. hope this helps God bless

The call center agents don't realize that you can make an interview appointment without having received the letter from the Embassy. They also don't realize that some people never receive the letter. If Chinook had waited for the letter, she would still be in Bacolod.

Hello fellow member, i agree with your post coz when i called yesterday the agent did ask about the letter and of course i answerd " no " so i was not able to have my appoinment scheduled but for today im going to do it again and thnks for posting this im pretty sure agent doesn't really know about those things.

This issue has been going on since I started reading VJ four years ago. If you simply tell tell them "yes," then they will schedule an interview for you.
