Hello you all!

Just a question, My fiance and I have been arguing a lot and I dont feel like going to keep doing this visa thing, but I got a question in case everything change:

1- What happens if I dont go to interview, I dont think he is willing to send a letter to USCIS to cancel it.

2- If I dont go to the interview and later on we change our mind what should I do?

ps- I just dont feel like now is the right timming for us, Just dont wanna force into anything like an obligation to continue to do this visa thing just because takes so long to get it done, I received NOA2 with an aproval but It will take at least 1 year for us to get back together or work things out, or just break up for ever.

Thank You all

1) At this stage your presence in front of a Consular Officer is a requirement for things to proceed. If you don't show, I suppose they will wait for a set amount of time and then return the case back to USCIS who will then cancel the petition. I'll let others chiem in to guide you on if you really need to do anything with the Embassy at this stage of the game. SInce you haven't submitted anything to them I don't see how they'll have record of you but who knows.

2) After a set amount of time I am sure you'll have to start a new petition.

I always try to guide others that there are two things going on with these things, the most important one is the relationship and the least is the USA visa thing. First you must have a good relationship and it seems that you want to work on that, kudos. Most just trudge forward stupidly with the end goal of visa in mind while neglecting to nurture the relationship.

Good luck.

I think you are doing the right thing about canceling the visa if you feel your relationship is not working. Most important than the visa, is your relationship. Im tired of reading cases where the couple had been having issues way before the foreign fiance got her/his visa. The result: most of them didn't make it the 1st 6 month of marriage. You don't need your US citizen fiance to end or cancel the k1 petition. You can choose to go or not to your interview. If you don't go, the consulate cancel the whole petition and they send back your package to the USCIS. after 6 month of your noa 2 recieving, if is the package is not process, is automatically cancel, cause you quitted the process. If this happens and you relationship is back in track you can always start all over again with a new package and you need to pays the fees again. But your biggest concern right now is working things out with your fiance, i know that this process can be very stressing and painful and sometimes it seems to jeopardize your relationship but you need to find out if is because of the k1 process or another cause. I think you are making the right decision waiting and clearing your mind and heart first. Tons of blessings for you dear

just a piece of advice, think of it a hundred times over before you make a decision. like right now while reading what you are saying i can feel that you are somewhat upset and whenever we are upset we easily make decisions. a lot of people make a big decision over temporary feeling so i would suggest you wait until the angry feeling subsides then you decide whether to continue or not and i dont mean only you but both of you should. Sometimes the distance and the delays are creating a toll in every relationship but it is up to you whether to let these challenges come between you and your partner. you've gone a long way to turn back now (im not saying you continue for the sake of time you put into it) just think it through first before you make a major decision so you wont regret later on but if you think you are already decided then go for it, just be open to whatever consequence there is to face. God bless :)
