We got our approval on June 16th and never received the green card

We've called 3 times over a 3 month period and still never got sent the card

We were then mailed a letter explaining a lost card requires filing an I-90. Its free for us since our card was lost in the mail. Anyways, that has now been over a month and we haven't even received anything telling us it was received.

Any others with a similar experience and what happened.

Much apprieciated.

I was in the same situation..... my card was lost in the mail.... after a month of having my I-90 with no fee as istructed the I-90 was returned to me with a letter telling me that as the card went missing in the mail it is not USCIS fault and therefore the fee was payable....

so after waisting a whole month for then to tell me I had to pay I re-filed I-90 (e-file) paid the fee and then waited a few months more to get the card.... see dates in my signature...

Dont wait make an infopass appointment and check if its on it way back to you... if it is re-file and pay... its the only way you are going to get a replacement card...

I took it up with my congressman and they checked it out and if USCIS has evidence to show it was mailed then the only option you have is to take the USPS to court for lost mail.......

how did you know the I-90 was received (from a tracking # or USCIS status)?

Seriously though, you had to pay. #######, if they give you that as an option then why do they tell you its not a valid choice.

Did you get a letter (normal letter, not a NOA) saying the card was lost and you had to file an I-90. What about phone call case#'s. We called after a month and they gave us some # saying they would re-try. We did this 3 times before they moved us up a level, then we got that letter. So we have alot of proof that we never received the card in the first place.

Thanks for you help.

Yep I did all the same things you did.... and no you dont have any proof you did not get it.... you have proof that you called the info line and they told you to call back after 30 days... nothing more...

I made an infopass appointment to asked an immigration officer what was going on.... they were able to tell me that the card was mailed on Nov 17 2005 that was on Dec 18th so they told me to file I-90 and even gave me a press release telling me about the filing instructions fir card errors/not recieved...

But as they have sysem evidence to show they mailed it I had to pay as it is not their fault the USPS lost the mail....

So I got to donnate more of our hard earned $$$ to the USCIS Pot....

Hope you get thing sorted soon
