Hi,

I just had a quick question. If I use my maiden name on all the forms in the AOS/EAD packet, will I receive my cards in my maiden name? I'm a kook who wants to keep using her maiden name :P Should I note on the cover letter somewhere I want my maiden name used?

Also, do I need to submit an extra copy of the marriage certificate with the EAD application if I don't want to change my name? I saw other people mention they submitted an extra copy of it, but to note the name change. Since I made an extra copy I was thinking of submitting it anyways. Will that confuse the USCIS officer though?

Thanks.

Whatever name you put on the documents will be the name that goes on the cards/system.

I used my maiden name on all my docs as I am keeping it and received my EAD/AP card in my maiden name...besides I am too cheap to pay to have all my stuff switched over.
