I know this topic looks like the other phone card question. But i am actually in china with my fiancee and will be for the duration. I am teaching english and loving it, its quite fun. I would like to talk with my family back home. i do what I can online but many of my friends and family don't have the internet at home and my internet here is slow, so online communication is out of the question.

So what I am looking for is the best calling card or phone card

from china to usa

i have seen several cheap ones from the usa to china, like 2 or 3 cents a minute. The cheapets i have found from chiina to the usa is like 16cents a minute.

Any help would be appreciated!!!!

Thanks,

Randy

You're welcome.I paid my IP card by my bank card.I just went to the bank and sent money to the store owner's bank account. To be safe, your girlfriend could click "buy now" on the site and then she could get information about the store owner and how to contact the owner.I don't remember the link, you could ask your girlfriend to search on 淘宝 taobao site. There are a lot of IP stores there. You could choose the cheapest one.

I am not an expert, but I found a very simple prepay plan at "onesuite". You can program three US phones, with an access access number, onesuite will automaticly recognize the phone, and you can program up to 50 Chinese phone numbers with 2 digit codes. The cost to call China is $0.022 per minute. To call US, you must dial the Southern China access code (1081-8101) from a land line, and enter the 14 digit PIN, and then enter the US phone number. Calls to the US are $0.27 per minute. I am not too good at programming phones, it is mostly done on the website, and the US part was easy. I know you can program some phones to delay and enter second and even third sets of numbers. Phonebook, US son: Send - access code - delay - PIN - delay - US pone number, but I have not tried it. I can dial all the numbers when I call US, but I try to get them to call me on my account, so it costs much less.

I have made it very convenient for my son, daughter, and parents to call me, when I am here in China, and my wife has all of her family members programed, so she can press China, send, and a 2 digit code for each family member. I wish I knew of a cheaper way for you to call the US. You could try "CandleforLove.com", they have a communications forum, and there are many different ways to call back to the USA from China talked about there. Mike & Yizhen

Right, me and my relatives have been using Onesuite.com too for calling each other. They got VoIP service now which means more ways to call you love ones.

If you have good internet connection (or even a sometimes questionable one), you can use Skype to call U.S. phones (or other Chinese phones, for that matter) for 2.1 ¢ a minute. My wife used Skype for over a year to call me every day on my cell phone at morning coffee break before we lived together. Just don't try to call your Vietnamese friends using Skype, though. That'll cost you 30-something cents per minute.
