hi....i really need your help here...i had been told that i need to fill out the i 864 form for my husband even if i am not the one who is going to be the actual sponsor....i did so...i recieved an email from nvc that i should give some explanation why i did not need to file taxes....because i did not..i am not employed .i am a student...how do i explain it and how do i fill out a new i 864 form????

I haven't filed my I-864 yet, so I don't have first hand experience on getting it approved. I'm still figuring out how to fill it out accurately. However, I would suggest that you write a letter explaining your financial situation that allows you not to file your taxes. If you're saying you don't work (therefore don't file taxes) because you are a student, it may be beneficial to get a copy of your transcripts to prove you were/are a full-time student.
