Nicodemus - I wouldn't necessarily say there's been a lull lately, this list just doesn't move as fast as some other ones because it's still relatively small. Also, it seems like not so much was done over the holidays so I guess maybe we're seeing the effects of that. :)

I got an answer back from the NVC today and our stuff has been sent to Montreal (lets assume todays date : Jan30). Now that I have a new case number, anybody know where i go from here to check if montreal has received it? is there a montreal phone number?? Help! :)

Because I'm completely bored this evening . . . I decided to try to work up some of the data we've all collected. I did a histogram of the 12 cases (excluded DCF) for the K-Visas for the time period (in days) between Packet 3 and the Interview. Here is the graph. The data aren't really normally distributed, but it's fun to try to make these predictions, anyway!

I'm going to go get a life now.

They are still alive. I can second that because I sent them 2 e-mails, one on January 10th, and a second one yesterday.

The first was about if my interview was scheduled, received a really short answer saying date not booked as of yet.

Yesterday I sneaked in a question about the NOA2 expiration saying I would like to know if the interview was scheduled before the said date, and all they answered is not to worry they would renew that date automatically.

Thats it.

No date, not even an estimate. They received my checklist and documents on November 23rd.

But at least both times they replied the next day. There is at least someone working on the e-mails department.

It looks like we should be watching CutienPurg and EmilyRugBurn - they should be next, and will hopefully give us an idea of how long things are taking... unfortunately it looks like Montreal may be taking more than 4 months now, but this may be due to the holidays.

I had emailed the consulate back in early January and on January 11th they confirmed that they had received my package 3 and said that I should have an appn't date in March. "Should" being the key word here. By the sounds of this forum ... I'll be lucky if I get it in April. Holy ####### my wedding is in May for crying out loud. meh.

Response from consulate:

Yes, we have. An appointment should be available for March, a letter will be mailed to you 2 to 3 weeks prior your interview date.

I too have emailed the consulate and the responses go from " you'll wait 4 months to hear of an interview" in late Nov. to "possibly a Feb interview " in December to " he is still on a waiting list " in January. If they send a letter 2-3 weeks before the interview , then I am still hopeful for Feb, but that hope is dimming quickly. On Feb 18 they will have had my husband's file for 4 months, we were not tardy in returning the checklist and DS-230........I can't imagine what the holdup could be. When my husband left on Jan 6 , I told him " this will be the last time we have to do this under these circumstances". <sigh>
