Finally got my interview letter, it's official.

I am glad that you got it Tinker even though it really isn't necessary at Montreal it is very nice to be able to have such good news and evidence to hold in your hands.

Melyssa, Keep calling it is not just because you want to know you have a date, you also want to confirm the letter has been sent to you. I'm the one who had the two day notice because of a phone call I made, my appointment was 8 days ago and I still have not received the letter everyon is so happy to get. All I will say is you are too close to the interview date to not be on their case at least once a week. I hope you get the good news very soon my hearts desire is having everyone getting through Montreal and off to their final destination yesterday.

I'm still nervous to call and doubtful that my interview will be scheduled until early September (which is only 2 weeks from now already!) I just sent them an email and if they don't write back and answer my questions sufficiently then I will definitely be calling next week; probably Monday or Tuesday.

I'm very curious to see what their response to my email is (if they even bother answering!) I'll be SO happy if they respond to it with a date, but am not getting my hopes up just yet! :)

If they don't answer after a couple days just keep resending it to em. That's what I did, if no return mail I kept sending till they did reply. Eventually they'll reply

Melyssa, I am sorry for being such a pain to you but when it come to inquiring about your interview date I would call, as I said before my e-mails to them were only regarding information not associated with the interview date. When I wanted to now if I was scheduled I would always get on the phone and ask.

Does it really matter if they get nasty, it only lasts as long as they are on the other end and beleive me they don't want to talk with anyone very long. It may seem like you are talking a long time but in reality the conversation rarely goes beyond one minute if that long and I am sure that you can handle that much time with someone who just may have the answer you are looking for.

Read the messages being posted, to me it seems like more and more people are getting telephone confirmations and more are getting their letters closer to the interview date than the desired 4 weeks.

I am sorry to push you but I rather you get the date than have to reschedule because the letter was late or never arrived.

I have to agree 100%. You don't want to be caught off guard Melyssa. So my girl, call until your ears fall off. - Like Ron/Sharon say: they may/will get nasty and obnoxious (they have perfected it into an art) but it's your future baby, so CALL THEM!!!!

I agree with the others. The nastiness only lasts for the length of the call. Just continue to be super nice to them... "please and thank you". I'm sure with the backlog they are getting some very nasty phone calls from people (remember VJ is only a small percentage of people going through the consulate) which might be why they're nasty right away but if you keep your cool and be nice to them, there's a better possibility that they'll be helpful.

Hmm. Am I missing something? I called Montreal today and they say to stay on the line. I sat there for 35minutes listening to dead air. No hold music, nobody ever picked up. I called 514-398-9695, hit option 4 at 2:30pm today.

Am I calling the wrong number?
