Melyssa, have you called the consulate lately, you should you know. I am hoping that you get your date very soon, tomorrow will not be soon enough so call today.

No, I didn't call yet... and unfortunately I didn't get to read these posts until now when it is much later than 2-4 p.m.; they just might have been the extra push I needed to call. I hope I get my date soon but I sure hope they don't give me two days' notice as one of our forms isn't quite ready yet :( (we are just waiting on certain people to give the info we need, pretty much, and I guess they don't really understand it being a priority...) Now if it was it would be another story and we might be super excited to have two days' notice, lol

I am kind of hoping to Pcf will call this week...

Congratulations!!! When is he moving?

August 31st!!! :D He should be here by September 2nd. He's taking Greyhound yet again from Montréal to Kansas City. Third time's a charm, hehe.

Wow, if he planned to leave sooner I could have given him a ride in exchange for filling a tank of gas for me. I dont have any luggage space though but I could have dropped him off at Council Bluffs IA, which would have been a shorter greyhound trip for him to Kansas city.

Oh man, that would have been SO awesome, but he has stuff he wants to bring with him, plus he wanted to put in his two-week notice in at work... and speaking of his work...

Réjean called me tonight and said his boss is actually going to pay for a plane ticket for him to fly here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *still in shock*

Edited by Necrotica

08/25/06 - 08/08/07 - K1 timeframe from mailing the petition to the NSC to K1 approval at the Montréal Consulate

02/08/08 - GREEN CARD APPROVED!!!!!!

02/16/08 - Green card received!

I keep telling Melissa to call - if I get a hold of her case # I will call myself!!!!

still waiting for my news ... sent them the updated RCMP thingy aug 2nd. Alan called yesterday, it was on someones desk till the 13th, progress i guess. They did say I will receive word any day. Then, I also will be on a greyhound. Crosses fingers till this is over.

hugs and congrats to all who got theirs

Sharon

Please let me know how your Greyhound trip goes if you do end up doing that. If it isn't too complicated, I may re-consider taking the bus...

I'm finding it hard to believe I am next in line on this waiting room thread... :o can't wait!

Finally got my interview letter, it's official.

I am glad that you got it Tinker even though it really isn't necessary at Montreal it is very nice to be able to have such good news and evidence to hold in your hands.

Melyssa, Keep calling it is not just because you want to know you have a date, you also want to confirm the letter has been sent to you. I'm the one who had the two day notice because of a phone call I made, my appointment was 8 days ago and I still have not received the letter everyon is so happy to get. All I will say is you are too close to the interview date to not be on their case at least once a week. I hope you get the good news very soon my hearts desire is having everyone getting through Montreal and off to their final destination yesterday.

Ron, I was wondering if you had ever gotten it. By the looks of the postmark and the date, they didn't send mine out till a week after the appt had been made!!

Is there no way your employer can speed things up with the RCMP?
