Hi Everyone,

We're here in Montreal -- waiting and waiting and waiting. I'm becoming very very good at yoga and my husband keeps running on the treadmill at the gym. Somehow, we'll get through this. I'm incredibly lucky that my work allows me to travel, so we are able to spend this time waiting together. STRESSSSSS. Talk about that! Who know that this would be the worst part? At least when we were all filling out paperwork, we had some ownership over the process. Now, not even stopping by the Consulate for the neighborly cup of sugar will help (I'm not exactly sure yet, I'll let you all know if the "pop-in" helps.)

Here is our timeline:

Type: K3

NOA2: Nov 11, 2006

To MtL: Nov 22, 2006

Packet 3: Jan 2, 2007 (We had received Packet 3 from MtL on Dec. 10, 2006, but it took time to get everything in order -- should've just sent it back right away!! Lesson learned!!)

Interview?? March? April?? May?????

Well, after four months of waiting, an insane amount of phone calls to the NVC and the National Customer Serive Line, two letters sent to CSC, multiple faxes to the NVC, and several talks with one very helpful woman at Brian's congresswoman's office...

NVC FINALLY HAS OUR FILE.

Seriously, it's about time. Hopefully it'll be shipped off to Montreal soon!

Well what do you know... Brian called the NVC today just to see if we had a case number assigned yet only to be told that our file was shipped off to Montreal today! Talk about speedy :)

I really didn't think I'd be asking for an update on the list so soon. I know K1s usually zoom right through the NVC, but after waiting four months for something that was only supposed to take 2-4 weeks, I was having trouble being optimistic.

Please add our "Sent to Montreal" date in as Jan 24/07.

Hey guys, I'll try to pull up additional data and fill out my timeline as well, but my fiancee sent the packet 3 the first week of November. I contacted the consulate and they said to expect March or April interview date which I don't understand =(. It looks like a lot of the people who sent their packet 3's in near the end of October got an end of January interview date. Hopefully they're just being conservative on the time =(. Just wanted to help everyone get an idea of when to expect an interview.

I am one of those who submitted in October, and they were telling some of the October Package 3'ers.. February for interview dates, when most of us have recieved Jan dates. I dunno how Christmas holidays affects them at the consulate, maybe they are being conservative because they are facing a backlog? Who knows. I hadn't heard anything about my visa in writing until the week after Christmas, and my interview was scheduled for January 16th. It happens fast when it happens :)

2007-03-28: Transferred to CSC

2007-05-17: EAD Card Production Ordered

2007-05-21: I485 Approved

2007-05-24: EAD Card Received

2009-03-07: NOA I-751

2009-03-31: Biometrics Appt. Hartford

I-129F sent: August 18th, 2006

NOA2: October 2nd, 2006

Packet 3 returned to Mtl: October 26th, 2006.

Medical: January 10th, 2007

Interview: January 23rd, 2007, at 2:30. APPROVED

Entry to the US: Feb 28th, 2007 POE Ivy Lea

Married: March 2nd, 2007

AOS/EAD sent May 4th, 2007

NOA1s for all 3 AOS and my EAD May 14th, dated for May 10th

EAD touched May 28th,29th, 2007, Youngest daughter's AOS touched May 29th, 2007

Biometrics: May 30th, 2007

All cases touched May 31, 2007, June 5th, 2007, August 1st, 2007

All 3 AOS transferred to California July 5th, 2007

EAD Approved July 27th, 2007

Finally movement on my AOS, touched on Feb 22 & 24th

GC May 11 2008, date of april 29th on them.
