all you do is bring yourself to my attention.. =)

a PM is the fastest..

or hopefully I read it in the forum.. (but that doesn't always work; like starting saturday I'll be away for a week and won't have internet access on the sandy shores of Alabama)

so, 18th to 27th, I'm gonna need PMs :P

PS, you're on the list now..

Melyssa, try calling closer to the end of the week. Remember, I called and was given the August/Sept, then the 5-7 months the next week, and when I called again last week it was I got an interview!!!

Has anyone had an 8:15 appt? and did they get in and out fast?

I hope you guys are right and I would love to have my interview in September. I guess I will try at the end of next week at the latest... I guess I am just nervous about calling them again so soon when I just called last week! (But then yes, I am nervous that if I don't call, they will give me the two days notice thing and I will miss my interivew  and I of course wouldn't want that to happen...)

Pcf, did you call? Maybe you could try this week instead of me since your timeline is pretty much exactly the same as mine...

Tinker, Congratulation on the interview date,

Melyssa you keep calling them, if they say they will mail you your date remind them that my appointment was on the 9th and I still haven't received my letterfrom them.

I had a 9 a.m. appointment but was there at 7:30, thanks to vj I was first at the cashiers window and got ticket C1 did have to wait about a half hour though because they were doing all the As first. I think the C1 was because I had pre-paid at the bank which I should not have done. I was out at 10:00 for now obvious reasons.

Yup... received mine y'day too, Visa was stamped Aug 10 Friday. The Big envelope is not to be opened and given to the CBP officer at preflight immigration at the airport or the CBP officer at the land border crossing.

Lance

yaay!!! Received my visas in mail yesterday!!!

Did anyone get a "big yellow sealed - Do Not Open" envelope?" There was a note that said to take the sealed envelope and the passport to the POE.

Anyone?

Yep, dont open that envelope,lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
