Thank you everyone, the good thing is I have been ready for months now, as that is left to do go to the bank and pay the fee then get to Montreal.

I'm still working but barely, when I told my boss that I was applying for a visa in September they moved me to a very quiet job in December so I could work on what was necessary to get the visa with little or no interruptions. All I have to do here is give them 1 weeks notice, not really necessary as this job was created for me alone and I won't be replaced. The weeks notice is so they can plan a going away and congratulations party.

I don't have to quite the job until I am ready to leave but will do so at least a month in advance since I will be retiring and work the max permissible in the states.

I have to give 70 days notice to the landlord but that is no problem since I don't have to live there during that time just pay the rent, my daughter will be holding the key and will only turn them in when they are due.

AS for packing that is easy since everything that needs to be there is there, all that is left to bring are 2 suitcases, I do have 3 small boxes that will be sent by UPS.

I have been very lucky, I have had my docs together and copied for over three month now, I have been ready forever. As for Montreal, they have tried to short change me but it didn't work, shame on them.

Tinker you deserve much more since without your nudge I would still be waiting for the letter and not have called.

The Sharon you are thinking of is Alan's Sharon, they had their interview just a few days ago, My Sharon is in Wichita at her father's hospital bedside, he is doing better but not yet out of the woods as the doctor said, The past 6 weeks have been heII since he has gone bad to worse to living one minute at a time. My telling her about the interview date was the other silver lining she has been looking for the other was her father's prognosis.

I hope you all are right but right now it is very hard to feel optimistic after the email we got. I never dreamed when we started this that I would be spending another Thanksgiving or Christmas without her here. It is just depressing.

I have just one question that would help me tomorrow, do I bring the medical documents and the x-rays with me to Montreal or are they only for the AOS portion of thte journey?

I was added to the list on April 16, you must have near the same date as I do since you sent yours in on the 13. Hold on to your socks because you never know what will happen or when. As I wrote earlier if you want to know about the interview date call, don't e-mail.

You take the X-ray and the sealed medical envelope with you to MTL. They'll ask for the envelope didn't ask for my X-ray in fact I have it here in the closet

Here is something that may perk everyone up some, I am a April 16th P3 and I just got off the phone with Montreal and I am scheduled for August 9th at 9 a.m., My god I just realized that that is in two days, what the hell, no time to breath or even think. I hope to see more surprised like this for everyone else. Thank you Tinker for the push to call.

Wow! Are they really already doing the middle of April or did they give you special consideration since you had to wait a few months extra?!! Two days notice?! That's crazy.

I emailed them yesterday and they said my interview date should be coming in the next month or so but they can't make any promises... I'm the end of April but I doubt I entered the waiting list until early/mid May... so I'm still thinking I'll possibly be in October, but I wonder if I could possibly still be in September. It seems Sept is almost filled up though

Does it cost anything to call them?

Wow there is like 3 new pages of crazy posts since I left for work and came home lol. Congrats Ron/Sharon and Len&Bren!!!! Glad to see MTL has finally started moving along. I am so excited for you guys I am pretty much dancing in my chair. (The thought that I still *could* end up with an interview in September is helping too )

Hahaha that's what I was thinking when I got home last night, and I didn't even have much time to read it all. It was just like... whoa 3 or 4 people got their interviews... so when's my turn!
