RocksAnne, what do you mean about holdups with K visa approvals? Do you mean at the service centre stage? I wouldn't think that consulate shortages would affect service centre processing.

hi Misa!

Yeah, I meant hold-ups at the service centers, VSC and CSC, not in Vancouver. I was thinking that if for some reason the Service Centers knew these consulates were backlogged, maybe they were holding back on moving the K visas along. Probably a crazy thought - but I'm grasping at straws to make sense of what is going on! A lot of us are still waiting for I-129F approvals which seem to have come to a complete halt all of a sudden, while our I-130's have been zipping right along. I did see a post floating around today that CSC has just issued some kind of statement that they're going to be catching up as of July 20th. Nothing at all about what is going on in Vermont, though! :(

RocksAnne

I feel the need...the need for speed!

Maybe the service centres are also experiencing summer shortages with vacations and such? So hard to make sense of this all sometimes. Hope the service centres (and consulates) start speeding up for everyone!

Well, IF they are processing for February now, MAYBE we'll get an appointment sometime this year. It just irritates me that we submitted our packet in early December, and not until MAY did we discover that they had only processed it as of February. We were told back in January that our information was in the system THEN. NO ONE there has any idea where their buttcheeks are I don't think.

Oh well, we'll see.

Yup.. totally understand your frusteration. What a waste of 2 months. In my opinion you should have been scheduled in for an interview in May/June. Hopefully August. I will call again next Friday and see what they say.

I wish I had heard about this earlier, I live in Ottawa and am moving from a 2 bedroom to a batchelor on August 1st since I have more waiting time and because of the wasted space since my daughter moved out with 90% of the funishings. If I had a furnished bedroom for her she could have had a better environment to spend her time than the Y does. There are others here from Ottawa that if they read this just might be able to help Sharon with a more decent short term living arrangement.

I am truely sorry that everything is taking so long for you and Sharon, there is no rhyme or reason for Montreal to do as they are. I hope someone from here can help her so it would be much easier on both of you.

Thank you so much for the support, it has helped just knowing someone cares. I swore I wouldn't read the forums due to the waiting but glad I did today. Again ty everyone xoxox

Just called MTL. They are processing Feb/March. They told me to call back next week. Hopefully we'll start to see new interview dates. On a side note the female operator was pleasant, very different from my previous experiences calling MTL.
