I see two couple have been waiting 70 days to get an appointment....not an interview, just the appointment.

Why why why why why why do they make you wait for the appointment?

Why do they not simply make one right away even if it will be 4 months so that one can plan their lives accordingly?

How long is the typical wait once you hear you have an appointment to to interview? a day or two??

sigh....

SpiritAlight edits due to extreme lack of typing abilities. :)

You will do foolish things.

Do them with enthusiasm!!

Don't just do something. Sit there.

Funny-looking card arrives – September 6th, 2008 :)

Mailed request to remove conditions – July 7, 2010

Yeah I have always wondered about that, it would seem to make sense to let people know when they will be interviewed, how hard can that be?

A. It would make people shut up about it (I'm talking about me here :) )

B. People could plan

C. Montreal would look good-ish

Which reminds me of the lame response I got to my letter, which I will now post. Just a note, I never 'objected' to anything, I just said I was 'surprised' that there was only 1 consulate in this vast country where interviews are held.

As you can see I had to edit out a few lines which refer to my Husband's file in particular.

Actually, it's harder than you think. All official US correspondence is now processed through the mainframe in a small town outside of Washington, I believe the place is called Menda City. :)

When someone posts in a thread it brings the thread to the top of the forum.

So people just use the word "bump" to bring the thread to the top (F);)
