I know how you feel Liz. I was doing the same thing and I think I started doing it again. The waiting sucks, but once its all over with, its a big relief and you can start to look forward to everything else you've been waiting sooooooo long for. Hang in there!

I just saw the pic of the kitty - so cute and funny!

It's terrible when you know you are stressing out and being, 'not as cheerful as you would normally be' - I so understand this, however, like Pfcs said, it's not long now until the interview and then it will be champagne time!!

Only 5 days until interview - yahoo!!

As per the marriage certificate, I did CR1 via MTL and it was required.

Hold yer horsies. Do you mean you had to provide your old marriage certificate as in previous marriage!?

I don't know about you Liz, but for me, it's like I find things to argue about and every little thing ticks me off. Its frustrating and I know its just me, but its hard knowing theres nothing you can do but wait. The days seem like they get longer, then as the days get closer to what you want, you run around like a chicken with its head cut off cause you think you've forgot something to do or get. Stressing over something thats not even there to worry about. My fiancee says I have OCD and I tend to do check things over and over again until I've done stressed myself out to the point of exhaustion. Ok, before I turn this into a book, I'll finish it up lol. Just remember your family here on VJ will always be here to help you through the good and the bad.

I feel exactly the same way, Mary..

I got mad today because he went shopping with his folks for a shower curtain (he just moved into our new place)..

And I was like "I wanted to pick the curtain!!" (and got all stressy about what if I don't like what his mom picks?! Do we have to just stick with it cuz she'll see that I changed it?? Or always have to change back to it when she visits from PA???)

but she jokingly said "does she want you to shower for two weeks with no curtain?" which made sense..

turns out though they only bought a liner :D

And I want to help him decorate.. it's killing me that I can't see the place!!! My first apartment with a boyfriend and I can't even see it!! I ordered him Internet today through Verizon so that should be set up for Nov 1st

but I will already be on my way to Mtl that day so I'll have to wait til the 4th to see it on webcam!!!

aggggghhhhhh

(Oliver & Fab (my MOH) said I'm going all crazy because I like being in control and I feel like I can't do anything!)

and there isn't even any freaking updates for the Spreadsheet that I can bury myself in!!!

stupid Mtl!

I am starting to love you Liz and you too Mary.

OCD! Hahaha....welcome to the club. It is not exclusive.

As a dear friend like to say, CDO because it should be in alphabetical order. :D

Ah the teeny tiny unimportant details and frustrations that in the grand scheme of things, really do not matter.

The only constant is change.

Try something, you don't like it, change it.

Wall colours, furniture, homes, ah, but the shower curtain...no no no...do not even think of replacing such important items! :P

I am only joshin' ya Liz.

Laughter is the key to not losing it...the mind, that is.

One more thing: control is an illusion.

Let go. Life becomes so much simpler.

:star:

(Know that I only give advice on something I have lived. Ha!)

Yes, Montreal consulate is driving us a little batty, huh? Appropriate for Hallowe'en!

Poor Liz. You can change all you want once you get there. If you hate the color, paint it. If you hate the furniture, cover it. If you hate the shower curtain, get a new one. The important part is that your boy is there.

So tell the boy to go out and buy a digital camera (they can come cheap these days), snap tons of photos and send them on over! That should keep you happy for the next week or so. You can internet-shop until your interview. :)

Send flowers the day before you leave, look up stuff you want to do once you get there, think of ways to spoil your honey.... shop for that leather outfit you posted earlier....... :D

Give us Ol's email address and we will not-so-subtley hint that he needs to come visit you for the rest of the week and go with you and help you pack up and go. Stress is hard when you're apart, but when you're together, you can lean on each other for support.

*hugs*

Hope you're feeling better today Liz *hugs*

I don't know that Gene and I argued more, but I at least felt more and more overwhelmed by daily activities near the end of our journey. I was exhausted all of the time...doing so much "what ifs". I didn't feel like chatting a lot of times. After I had my interview, I still remained in Canada for 2 more months, and they dragged by. We didn't chat very long, but still everyday. We used the phone more. Chat just didn't "cut" it anymore. You know? Anyway, I think I was more irritable, overhwelmed and exhausted. It does impact on a relationship, especially if you're doing it LD. It's hard to be strong when you just want to be held...

Thinks will only get better.

I feel the same way Carla. I talk to my fiancee every night on the phone, but as you said, it just doesn't cut it no more. We'll be on the phone for like 3 hours each night, but we might only talk for 30-45 minutes. Its been this way for a few months. It just seems to get worse as the time goes by. I try and stay positive. The worst is when I'm home all day by myself while my son is at kindergarten. Theres only so much I can do at home before I start to go crazy with boredom. I want to start packing, but I think its still too early. I've already done and purged all my stuff. Been doing that for months lol. I know things will get better as soon as I can move. I think I need to find a hobby of some sorts to pass the time lol.
