This is so BS .... man they pissed me off too. Email next week. Don't give up Amanda, call again. I called one week and they told me probably october, called the same week 3 days later and I was scheduled for September. So email again next week.

Hugs to you both, L.

Thanks Len....every time I write, they send me a "we already told you" kinda email; I worry about bugging them too much, BUT....are they answering phones again perhaps?

Thanks for the vote of confidence, too Liz....I sure hope you're right!

I did not say it was a contest. I ONLY said that I was pissed! If I had known, I would have filed a K-3 too.

You're pissed? Us CR1s are pissed. I've been waiting since April.

I know, it's painful for us all, but let's say someone on the CR1 list TWO WEEKS AFTER YOU got a date and you didn't....I would think you'd be worried? I agree with misa...not a contest, not fair for any of us!

Hi Ron,

I understand, it's kind of one of those 'wouldn't it be good if we could' scenarios. Immigration is a funny thing. Because they have all this power to make decisions people back off from confronting them (with good reason, as you mention).

In the normal world no one would put up with this kind of treatment - it's all wacky!

Someone I know freezes up every time they cross the border. When the guy asked, "where are you going?" he said 'Canada' (heading in to Canada). haha

Your friend needs to remember that the border officers have rules and regulations that allow them to go so far and no further. They are there to intimidate and are obviously doing a good job in your friends case, but they (the someone you know) has to learn to quiet down and listen and give the right answer to their questions.

Having spent damned near a life time working in the government I have very little fear of their power over me. Someone once said that the only power someone has over you is the power you give them, in my case I question them on all points they set before me. my last letter to them ended with "don't bother replying since any response will only make you look foolish" obviously they saw the truth in that as they didn't reply. I'll tell you one thing when I go back there my file will have inreased in size.

I'm sorry CR1's....

Sorry I must have skipped your post, Liz.

Don't be sorry, we're insanely jealous, feeling left behind. We want to be celebrating too.

I think I speak for all of the CR1s when I say that I really am happy for you, I'm happy to hear that Montreal actually works, they haven't been sleeping and slacking off for half a year, but it's just kind of a sour lemon kinda happiness.

Well I emailed them and asked how the interviews are done, are they first come first served, do K persons get interviews before IR persons etc etc.

And the reply I got really had nothing to do with the questions I asked - yeah I know you are all surprised

They answered me within 40 minutes. Anyway I have emailed again restating my original question, will let you know if they ever write back. :)

I totally feel the same way, djc...and didn't mean to insinuate a contest....I hate that you guys are at the bottom of the barrel; it's deep enough without having to be at the bottom!! BUT, with your kind words in mind I'm trying to see each interview I see scheduled as one more step forward for MTL and the rest of us, sigh.
