I GOT AN INTERVIEW DATE

NOV 2ND @ 8:30 AM!!!!!!!

HOLY #######! Congrats! :)

Congrats Liz!! so happy for you!

Not counting on hearing anything til Jan/Feb here, if its before then what a great surprise that would be..

I also have a question about my husbands DS 230 (part 1) form..When we sent it back to Montreal in early August it had asked for my husbands mothers current address which we provided..sadly she passed away on Aug 24th..it was an unexpected death so the remainder of August and into September were very emotional, and stressful so Immigration issues were the furthest from our minds during that time..Now Im wondering if we should contact Montreal about the change on the form?, just send them another form?, or just take an updated form with us to the interview whenever that is...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

thanks

I'm sorry. :(

Congrats, but 8:30 AM? That's insane. Tell them you'd like to reschedule your appointment for some time in the afternoon, when the sun is nice and warm. :P Seriously though, at the interview, try to behave yourself. :)

Shite. Hadn't thought about Liz's psycho behaviour....:unsure::unsure: maybe we'll need to send Ol to act as a restrain?????????? LMAO

I am SOOOO PISSED! MTL responded to Doug today: "no date yet; we already told you it would probably be December"!! We're on the list 2 wks earlier than Liz, sigh.

Think we pissed off the wrong guy at MTL and he delayed us?:blink:

In any event, I'm back down on the MTL roller coaster ride....now I have to wait another 2 weeks at least to check again :crying:

This is just an unloading of mind clutter because I'm bored and boredom brings the worse out of me so here goes.

Why do the better writers here not get together and draft a letter to the consulate requesting information on their status. This letter should be posted here and everyone waiting for an interview date cut and paste and then on the very same day over a period of time choose a time to send it and everyone send it to Montreal at the same time and on the same day. I think Montreal would get the idea that there is a group out here looking at what they are doing there. Everyone says that Big brother is watching, so, why not let them know that little brothers and sisters are watching also.

This way no-one will feel to send something one day and another on another day, it would be a kind of reverse spamming, not one address sending to many addresses but many addresses sending to one address.

If anyone thinks of doing something like the above you all better think of the consequences it could come back and bite you in the AS$.

What was important to us at the time was on a personal level, it was time that wasn't available to us to be here with the equally important people that have supported us without know us. What we did was necessary, being here with people like you is nothing less that a real pleasure.

That is indeed a bad idea. Where did you read that Ron? Was it in the Canada forum somewhere? If that was to be done, I am almost sure most people who sent said letter would get on MTL's bad side.

That is why I wrote the first and last sentences.

1. This is just an unloading of mind clutter because I'm bored and boredom brings the worse out of me so here goes.

2. If anyone thinks of doing something like the above you all better think of the consequences it could come back and bite you in the AS$.

It came from seeing "I e-mailed last week who will e-mail today" I really didn't think anyone would actually do what I wrote because it would have needed the cooperation of everyone and I knew that brighter minds would see how things could turn out.

Hi Ron,

I understand, it's kind of one of those 'wouldn't it be good if we could' scenarios. Immigration is a funny thing. Because they have all this power to make decisions people back off from confronting them (with good reason, as you mention).

In the normal world no one would put up with this kind of treatment - it's all wacky!

Someone I know freezes up every time they cross the border. When the guy asked, "where are you going?" he said 'Canada' (heading in to Canada). haha

TIME OUT!

Let's not turn things here into a CR-1 vs K1 vs etc. thing and focus on the bigger picture... which is that Montreal sucks the big one! :P

If I had to hazard a guess (for the CR-1s), Montreal has a certain amount of slots alloted for DCF, CR-1, IR-1 in one group and K1 and K3 in another group. Due to the poor implementation of the Adam Walsh act, there was a big backlog of DCFs so I'm guessing they're clearing those each month and then whatever they have left over they give to the NVC for CR-1s and IR-1s. Pure speculation on my part of course.

Is it fair? Nope, not at all...
