Hi there,

I hope I am not asking a repeat question. I have been through the discussions and couldnt find an answer to my question.

I have just received notification that my NOA2 approval is with the NVC...they have it on their records!!! Now I'm wondering:

1) How long does it generally take for NVC to send to London Consulate?

2) How long does the London Consulate typically take to send the pack out to me (foreign fiance) to prepare for the interview?

I realise it's all a bit of a guess, but any guidelines would be great!

Sarah :)

my petition was forwarded to london from NVC within 2 weeks of them receiving it, another week n half after london got it till i received my packet 3. Some are quicker, some take longer, i think it all depends how quickly it gets processed and sent out.

So, I can see in your timeline that you have an interview scheduled. How long did it take the London Consulate to then contact you after you sent in your forms, checklist and your medical exam arrived?

Hi Sarah.

Congrats on your case moving along!!

I'm just curious. Did you receive notice of the case being transferred to NVC via email or snail mail (or both)? Also, do you receive email that the case is transferred to London?

My husband is moving tomorrow and we need to change is address so he gets packet 3!! Just want to know how we'll know the case is at NVC. Our 129F was approved last week.

Thanks!

Hi,

We have hired a lawyer to help/represent us, so he's been calling NVC regularly so that's how we found out. We also received a snail mail letter on Monday this week informing us the same thing.

Good luck with your visa!!

I'm not sure why you've hired a lawyer, you are already approved & there's nothing the lawyer can do now...you can call NVC & contact the UK embassy yourselves!

We hired a lawyer at the beginning of the entire process when we first decided to submit a K1 petition. It's a long story, but essentially I was denied access to the states previously, so we hired someone to help us with ensuring this visa had all the i's dotted, t's crossed and to ensure our petiton was submitted correctly as we didnt want anything to go wrong this time. We didnt hire one after we got approved...I agree with you on that...it wouldnt make sense! :)

ah. Well you can call the NVC yourself if you want! Getting an answer directly may make you feel better. They're very nice.
