Packages.... probably a stupid question...

Okay, I was wondering, You get 3 packages apparently.. I didn't realize this ! I just assumed it all came as one package...

So what are the different packages?

Some consulates combine packet 3 and 4 others send 4 after they get paperwork back from 3. Just 2 packets unless you count the package with aproved K-1, Visa and sealed brown envelope a package.

For Montreal package 3 comprised of your case number, information on required documents, the checklist, forms for the visa, medical information, a list of doctors and a FAQ sheet.

Packet 4 comprised of interview date, fees information, addendum re DS-230, security notice, and note on when visa are issued (next day or by post).

Partially, So package one was I-129F? and package 2 was your NOA?

I thought people were saying you get 4 packages from the consulate in Montreal... I was thinking that was pretty stupid!!! lol

Each packet is a another step in the process, not all completed at once. FOr some it takes over an yr from start to finish. Best to sit down and go over the stickies at the top of the applicable visa forums and see what is required so you can be ready and do the forms correct the first time. If not they send you an Require further evidence (RFE) which adds on more time. One has learn to be patient. Its a frustarting process. Two people can start the exact same visas at the same time, and be completed the process at different times, which makes it even more frustrating!! Even more so when soem one started way after you, but finsished before you. You will soon learn there is no reason, it just is. Then if you want more hassle, phone the NVC (someetimes the consualtes) and get more incorrect information!! lol Best of luck

"package" 1 is the NOA1 reciept from the service centre, "package" 2 is the approval notice, "package" 3 is the forms and checklist from the consulate, and "package" 4 is the interview schedule letter.
