So a question for others, what if a Lawyer did indeed prepare the documents, what does it matter?

I was asked by our CO face to face during a drop in visit "what made us just start collecting all our phone and chat logs" and who does that ?

By that she was insinuating we are over prepared and therefore had something to hide and up our sleeve as normally

a couple would not just collect chats from day one (in her mind.)

I shot back that I chose an attorney because the filing is complicated and my attorney advised me to collect everything and submit it.

She said ah, ok. DUH !

No i was not married in fact he never signed the birthcertificate and I moved away from both our states when I was 5 monts pergnant and moved to AZ for three years.. He is engaged to be married,,a minister and he is more than willing to signed a notorized statement.

Sorry for the wait.. but it's a no for us... Yes.. my kingsley is highly upset. I can't get through to him bad connection.. but what he managed to say before breaking down on the phone. Was everything was fine then she kept going back to the file, and focusing on my sons father. She was trying to get him t believe that we are still together.. That the reason I never took the job in Qatar(how kingsley and I meet) Is because I must still be in love with my son's father. Even though, though I included a copy of my promotion and promotion pay in the file as to why I turned down the job. and even though My sons father is engaged and slated to be married in the spring.. I'm hurt the most because of all the things the could have flagged me for me being older, a short window to have more kids, or etc. The trumphed up some bullshit excuse... Sooo I'm not sure what to do know.. I have no problem marrying him now, but feel that it won't be the same..Like I'm doing it to prove to "them" we love each other.. Not sure if I can appeal, or write to congressman, or what.. Sooo goodluck to the next ones in line... By the way my school blocks face book so please feel free to post in the African married groups we are a part of..

IMOO if you have a lawyer assembled the package it wouldn't matter unless the co was trying to infer that you lied about doing it yourself... I don't know for real what made the co officer declined the k1 this time but I admit they some time make this erronoeus assumption while making the tough decision...moreso, I believe this decision making process is largely dependent on the personality of the decision maker...I also agree their job is difficult but common we are talking about the need to reunite families together... Unless fiances are not regarded as families yet?! But should one have to be someone else just for any reason at all? I mean the co is not God almighty that sees the heart of man and knows it better than man... How on earth will someone conjure an opinion of their own thought and use same for a drastic decision such as the ones that involve reuniting loved ones...anyway what I'm saying still remain that no true lovers should be intimidated by any third party no matter what position to occupy...stand for your right! Let your nay be nay and yea be yea...to some of us that felt floored by our sister's minor setback at the moment, I want you to remain resolute in your journey of life ok...our sister will soon come out of this situation smiling...like some posters has adviced it's high time she contacted her congress men and senators for adequate inquiry into this matter...this is a clear case of wrong assumption, unless we including you, Chi are not sure of what informed the co decision...stay strong in this fight sweetheart everyone here is praying for your success... Contact your local congressman immediately, also contact the US Consulate in Lagos to find out the exact reason for the denial....This is awful news as I'm sure my words cannot express the disappoint I know you feel. But DO NOT give up. This is not the end, there are still things you can do.
