Hi, today I reached 3 month since I filed for my AoS from a k1 visa. I received my combo card almost a month ago but my green card petition is still in acceptance. As far as I know I wasn't transfer, and I haven't receive a RFE either, yet. Should I call the USCIS? I check my mailbox every single and nothing yet : ( is this normal?

No worries, the update system is kind of broken! Don't rely too much on it. I even think it's gonna stay like this until a new update pops up (interview, approval or RFE), if it pops up.

Mine did that (stayed in Acceptance stage until I got the interview scheduled update).

Honestly, I think you'll be waiting quite a bit longer.

Mine took 8 months to be approved (240 days) headbonk.gif

That being said typically one of two things will happen;

1. Case will be transferred to the CSC, typically this means no interview but you'll be waiting a long time (This was my route).

2. Case will be transferred to your local CIS office, typically this means you'll get an interview but you won't wait as long.

I have no idea which is the best option! blush.gif

Best of luck my friend, hang in there!

Same story here. Applied for AOS from K1 on July 13, 2012 ... case still lingering in 'acceptance' status & no transfer so far..... hopefully, on the 120th day we will be approved without an interview -:)

After 3 month, I highly doubt that my case will be transfer. I read a lot AoS topics and most of the transfer's cases where notified in a period not longer than 60 days, ALL of them. I reached the 90 days mark. In our case, my husband and prefer to have an interview but wait less than having non and wait 8 month or more. The EAD/AP is a great tool, but nothing like having your GC in hand. I know I'm far from being done with immigration issues but after a whole year of dealing with the USCIS, I'm so ready for my 2 years vacation until my ROC. I'm hoping waking up some morning and have a nice surprise waiting for me in my mailbox and no interview need it! In the name of God :) thanks to all of you guys! Blessings

Wow!! Thanks for the link and the information. Now I know why I was adjudicated to the NBC (my online status said that) instead of one of the regular service center. Even when I sent my package on july 19, my Noa1 is from August 3. If is this true, and I'm bless enough, according to what I read, cases from the NBC, can be approved without an interview and without been transfered. :) :) :) hoping that could be my case :) :) :) and for all of you who are till waiting. Thank guys

ALL cases goes to NBC first, and that was the case already before August 1st. Except now, they stay at NBC and are adjudicated without an interview (no more transfer to CSC) or they are transferred from NBC to the local USCIS office for an interview.

Your case can still be transferred to your USCIS office.
