My fiance received a letter with a MNL case number and it says that the MNL embassy will send me a letter too after a week, the question is what is the letter that they are going to send me?

Can we schedule an interview now that we have a MNL case number? or should we wait for the said letter that the embassy will send me?

and what do these PACKETS on visa journey timeline means?

answers will be greatly appreciated.thanks :)

yes you will also receive a letter from USem manila. I received mine a little over 2 weeks after my fiance got a the letter from NVC stating that we can now schedule the interview with our MNL case # on it.

you don't need to wait for the letter. you can now pay the fee & schedule your interview since you already knew your MNL case #.

Your fiance can now call Usem Manila for appointment and pay the fees at the bank and start the medical at St. Lukes. Anything that your fiance received from Manila Embassy such as letters, they will send you too.

The U.S. Embassy Manila really doesn't have packets for K-1'ers. Instead, they send you a letter which says you are eligible to schedule an interview and gives you instructions on how to prepare for your interview.

Please don't wait for the letter to arrive. The letter could take a month or more to arrive. Sometimes the letter never arrives. Other times the letter is accidentally sent to the petitioner. Instead of waiting for the letter, you should pay the visa fee at BPI, schedule your interview, and complete your medical since you already have your MNL case number.

You can read the Embassy's letter by clicking the links below.
