Marriage License Requirement in California

First of all, my fiancé has her interview last Sunday and her visa was approved. It was so stressful leading up to the day, but she said the actual interview was pretty easy and only asked her a few questions.

Now that it's behind us, I had a question about marriage license requirements.

We plan to get married the next day after she arrives in California. We will get the license at the government office before they close. My question is that will there be other requirements like take a marriage class before we can apply for a marriage license? Or will we be allowed to apply for a license immediately?

There is no marriage classes required in your sate. All info is available on line to read on this. You can even get married same day as it looks like from what it says. As I know in a lot of states you have to wate 2 too 3 days after you apply for the lic. But not California. and no classes are needed for anything. Just google getting married in California. and there will be several things that come up you can read

Sorry to hijack, I was looking into the sane question. Do we need to have gone through the process of getting a social security number for our fiancés before we can apply in Cali? I'd do a search, but I have to get ready for work soon. Thank you! Again sorry for jumping in
