Hi everyone,

I need your help with finding what would be the most optimum process for my case.

I have an option of applying for either an H1B visa or a green card under EB1. I am currently engaged and my fiancee is Canadian and I am an EU citizen.

We are planning to get married in Spring, however, given that we are excepting for the visa process to start soon we are considering getting married earlier. In general, we can setup a wedding within a month's time if need be.

I have several questions:

1) Should we push for the wedding sooner or can I apply for her H4 or green card (early 6month visa that allows you to visit the country before you get the temp stamps) once I get mine approved?

2) If not, what would be the best choice (H1B or green card) to fit the month required to setup the wedding from the time the employer files the first paperwork.

We live together for three years now and eagerly waiting to move to the US but we don't want to be separated. Any other advice that you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Unless it is for a non profit you could not start on a H before October.
