K1 Visa Packet 3 New Delhi Embassy

Here is some of the Information I wanna share according to the Email I got from UStraveldocs and US Embassy New Delhi:

1. We have to get registered at the UStraveldocs website.

2. Interview Letter is considered to be as your Packet 4 and Collect all documents listed On US Embassy New Delhi for Packet 3 & Packet 4.

3. We are not suppose to send any documents, just take all completed documents on the day of Interview itself.

4. No need to set up a appointment at OFC for fingerprints, as the same will be taken at the Embassy itself.

5. The Demand Draft has to be prepared by a nationalized bank and you can check the Exchange rate on UStraveldocs website and carry it with you on day of Interview.

I just went through all the exchanges on this topic. Sounds like without having to wait for packet 3 or 4 from the embassy, we can go ahead and schedule the visa interview.

Our K1 application was approved yesterday. Can you guys advise me on what to do now so that no time is wasted ? If you can shed some light on the next steps too, that will be really appreciated.

Congrats on your K1 petition approval. USCIS will give you your NOA2 and just follow the instructions as per by by the Notice from USCIS. You don;t have to make any appointment , NVC will make the appointment itself with the New Delhi US Embassy for you.....I hope this suffice for you..

Thanks for your message. Just to be clear, you are saying that NVC will send to me a date of interview ? Does it not depend on packet 3 or 4 anymore. Any suggestions on what I should do right now to speed up the process ( while I wait for the case number from NVC) ?

Hello, Once you receive your case number from NVC, it would tell on which date they have sent the papers to New Delhi Embassy. Then one week after you have received your letter from from NVC, I would suggest start contacting the New Delhi Consulate on (CIUND@state.gov & cis.ndi@dhs.gov) to ask for your application status and Interview dates. They, Themselves will contact you and send u the appointment letter , meanwhile you can start collecting things mentioned in packet 3 & 4 for K1 Visa mentioned at new delhi embassy website.

I am a newbie here too and recieved my NOA2 on 6 dec 2012...My fiancee just forwarded me all the documents along with NOA2. Meanwhile i am working on getting my PCC too for which i have already applied and go for an inerview on monday..Hope to get it soon but dont know how lonng it will take. I have recieved any information regarding packet 3. Should i go ahead and prepare all the forms for packet 3 ...Can i contact the consultate to schedule my interview...What would you recommend?

PCC is very easy to get,go there with necessary documents n fees, they will issue u the same very quickly. I think you should go ahead and start collecting your documents, as far as your I-134 affidavit of support, form 1040 and W2's from your fiance is concerned, please have them in original, New Delhi Consulate won't take the scanned copies.Go ahead n start contacting the Embassy for your Interview..

Thanks Bharat for the information. My fiancee has sent all the documents required to me which i will receive this weekend. I am going to the PSK tomm though i doubt it as this is the holiday season..Should i contact the embassy for packet 3 or should i just ask them for the interview.I am thinking to download all the required forms from the website and complete them.. Whats going on with your interview..Have you appeared for it? Are you from Delhi?

Hi guys !

So i was going through the posts here and got some good info but i still have some doubts which i hope somebody can clarify.

I applied for my (got engaged in delhi last year on my annual trip back home) and got my 129f approved in the first week of nov 2012. I got a dept of state letter in Virginia stating the approval on nov 16. and forwarding info to US embassy in delhi. The reason i don't know the exact date is because USCIS website still says case pending. Anyhow, first step done. Now even after waiting almost a month, there was no sign of packet 3 or 4 until i emailed them at ustraveldocs and they directly emailed me the appointment letter for feb 4 appointment. On emailing back and asking about the steps to follow and packet 3 /4 , their casual reply was to download from the website. So on that front, my experience is similar to others as ustraveldoc email query managers are not very informative. My fiancee did get her packet 4 with appointment letter in mail in few days though.. Yay. So packet 3 totally skipped and interview date set. I was reading that ppl suggested to submit packet 3 with pertinent forms to get the appointment date. I just wanna state my case for everybody to read. Hope this will ease somebody's tension.

Now the questions -

PCC - there is the registration reqd at the website after which you get an appointment but when we did the registration the appointment date is not available ( due to too many requests ? ) and for the second time my fiancee could not get an appointment to get PCC and it said to check again in few days - this time on dec 31 after 6 pm . Any experiences / suggestions ppl ?

2. Medical certificate - my fiancee got a letter from our local doctor stating that she got / gotten required vaccination. Would that letter suffice at the max in panchsheel ( in delhi) ? Also , they did not pick up any numbers when i tried to reach them . Is it because of the christmas / new years time that they are unavailable or they don't pick up .. Period ? Any insights or suggestions here ?

Hi

So i got my PCC which was not too difficult. For PCC you can walkin to a PSK between 9 and 11 and you dont need to take an appointment. We emailed ustraveldocs and they gave us the login id and password to their website to schedule the appointment. It had the payment option to i was a little confused if i should wait for them to send the packet 3 & 4 or go ahead make the payment and schedule an appointment. Now i called ustraveldocs and they told me to wait for packet 3 & 4 and that it will have all the instructions.I am a little confused now as to what should we do now...either download forms and complete them and wait...or wait for them to send a packet 3...plus we still dont have any information regarding the interview dates...i really hoped that they would have given me an interview date within jan.
