hey!! called dos on monday and found out my fiance's interview is on dec 10th. did not receive packet 3 however, packet 4 was mailed on oct 22nd so should be expecting it soon.

--do you know whether we are supposed to take documents to the interview or submit them at VFS before interview?

Yes we are suppose to take the list of documents which are mentioned in packet 4 with us whilst we appear for the interview. From 26th Sep,2012 the process has changed and VFS do not accept those docs anymore. FYI don't forget to take the MRV Receipt with you while you show up for the interview, they might wanna see it..apart from that pcc , medicals and those forms along with affidavit of support and a smile on ur fiance's face..that's it enough reasons to get approved Best of luck

Hey!! Congrats on Interview date. I still haven't got packet 3 or 4. I have no idea, where to send papers , as it's not clear on ustraveldocs.in.. For packet 4 contents they asked me to contact the ustraveldocs..Which number u called for DOS.

I just read all the posts here. First of all, am also disappointed with ustraveldocs people. No replies to my email, and they don't give correct answer either. All they say, "we have escalated your case, and you will get the reply".. !! I am hearing the same sentence over and over...

Our case reached Mumbai embassey on October 19th, and still waiting for packt # 3. ustraveldoc website is confusing as well. My Fiance registered in there, and didn't do anything when he reached payment section. We called ustraveldoc again, and they said not to do anything, and wait for the instructions in packet # 3.

Please do update, if you guys get any more info. Surprised to see, one member recieved the interview date without getting packet #3. I am really hoping for the interview in December. His sister who is on regular immigrant-spouse visa recieved her interview date yesterday and it is on December 13th. Hope my fiance will get it around the same time, and they can travel together to Mumbai from Kerala.

Download packet 3 from the Mumbai US Consulate website and send the DS forms mentioned over there accordingly. I didn't get packet 3 or packet 4, but my interview is scheduled for Nov 26th @ Mumbai. So you need to take an initiative and send the docs by courier to the Immigration Unit of the Mumbai Consulate. Once you send them they would suggest you to download packet 4 from the website too and schedule an interview date. Don't waste your time else you are going to wait for a long time.

PS: A few people has received packet 3 as well as packet 4 but there are a bunch of hapless fiance's like me who yet to receive anything from the consulate.

I agree with Shounok. I have a December 11 Interview , with no packet 3 or 4 in hand. Will drop the packet 3 papers to US Embassy New Delhi personally and then then pay the interview fee at ustraveldocs, followed by the medical test and packet 4 preparations. As it is Have waited a long time , so keeping no loose ends.

hey everyone! i just wanted to update everyone with my k1 visa for my fiance at new delhi embassy.

- fiance did not receive packet 3, or packet 4 till day

- i did however call DOS at 202.663.1225 (in US), then press 1 and then 0 to speak to someone. Ask for the case status. give NWD number, and names and DOB of both the beneficiary and petitioner

- i called and found out my fiance has his interview on Dec 11th at 8:30 am in New Delhi Embassy

- fiance has not received packet 3, and packet 4 was mailed out to my fiance on Oct 22nd, however my fiance still hasn't received anything in the mail

- i've emailed ustraveldocs and requested a duplicate interview/appointment letter (i haven't heard back; but if they aren't able to provide me with a letter than i will go on the new delhi website and just print out the December interview dates that will be posted online and highlight my NWD, appointment date and time. i will ask my fiance to show them that print out when he goes for the interview along with response that we received from ustrvaeldocs as proof that they weren't able to provide me with a duplicate)

- don't know what to do for packet 3, but im just going to ask my fiance to send everything that was requested in packet 3 & 4 before the interview to VFS (certifies copies), then get bank draft for visa fee (i've heard they don't accept cash, so draft is the best way to go), get medical done, and go to interview with EVERYTHING!!

My fiancé have been waiting for packet 4 since sept. still didn't get anything from embassy. Please help what to do now. He got his packet 3 on the first week of sept. and submitted all required documents. We have been sending multiple emails and call multiple times to the embassy but they always told us to wait but till when. Mine petition will be expire on 5th December still didn't get our interview date. Please help me out

Contact US Consulate immediately and talk to one of the personnel, they would send you an appointment letter via email. In the mean time get the PCC done and check the interview list for the month of December and look for your case number. Download the .pdf file and hit control+f and then type in your case number to find out if you are already scheduled for December

hii everyone!

i had been waiting for packet 4 for quite some time now, but my fiance finally got his interview letter last week. I had done a few things prior to receiving packet 4 but i'm not sure what helped.

- i requested an inquiry about packet 4 by calling ustraveldocs - had them create a case (they will send confirmation of case number through email) and give the case an "escalated case status"

- i contacted the senator's immigration department in my state and asked that an inquiry be placed for the interview letter (told them that i cant stress enough how important the interview letter is because its needed for the medical and to enter the embassy on the day of the interview)

- had my fiance mail packet 3 through DHL instead of waiting for packet 3 (my fiance never received packet 3 so I just had him send the applicant statement, and ds-230 part I and 2 passport photos to the US Embassy in New Delhi through DHL) did not send through VFS because they don't know what they are doing, and i personally don't think they are reliable as far as forwarding documents is concerned.

my fiance was able to get his medical done, and everything has worked out fine at last! last step is interview!

Here is some of the Information I wanna share according to the Email I got from UStraveldocs and US Embassy New Delhi:

1. We have to get registered at the UStraveldocs website.

2. Interview Letter is considered to be as your Packet 4 and Collect all documents listed On US Embassy New Delhi for Packet 3 & Packet 4.

3. We are not suppose to send any documents, just take all completed documents on the day of Interview itself.

4. No need to set up a appointment at OFC for fingerprints, as the same will be taken at the Embassy itself.

5. The Demand Draft has to be prepared by a nationalized bank and you can check the Exchange rate on UStraveldocs website and carry it with you on day of Interview.

Are these packets (packet 3 and packet 4) sent by regular mail or by courier? It will make a huge difference to me depending on the answer.

Hi.I'm new here and I called NVC and they said they were forwarding to New Delhi last week and I just wanted to make sure I have the pcc info correct. My fiance' has lived in New Delhi for 5 years and rec'd his passport 9 months ago so does he only have to go to local passport office for police clearance?
