K1 Visa Packet 3 New Delhi Embassy

HI Guys!!

I have a query. My case has been transferred from NVC to Us embassy ,New Delhi. My query is will US Embassy send me the packet 3 or I have to download forms for Packet 3 and submit to them. A prompt reply will suffice. thank you.

hey! my case was forwarded to the us embassy in new delhi on october 12th for k1 visa and I have also been trying to get information as to what has to be done next. I've called the embassy and they simply asked me to call 011+91 01206602222 for any information. They were not helpful at all and I was asked to send them an email at support-india@ustraveldocs.com in order to find out what needs to be done. i should be getting a reply soon but in the mean time if you find out any information I would really appreciate it if you can share it here !

After my case was transferred from the NVC to the US embassy in New Delhi, I received a letter in the mail from the US Consulate Mumbai with the Packet 3 instructions. (My case was forwarded to Mumbai since I live in Gujarat). The embassy/consulate will send you a mail/email within the next couple of weeks. They will most likely send you a web link to access Packet 3. Meanwhile, you can begin working on the packet to speed up the process or wait for their instructions. Apparently, there has been some changes in the process since 26 Sep 2012 so maybe wait.

Same thing happened to me. My petition was approved on 13th Aug, 2012 but packet 3 never reached me. So download the packet 3 from the consulate site and do the needful and when u r done courier DS 2001, DS 156 (signed), DS 230 part 1 (signed), Packet 3 checklist with applicant's statement and two passport photos.

Sending it via courier would be the ideal thing,the document drop off centers are sh*t, the call center is rubbish they will never ever be able to answer to ur questions. I'm going through this burden coz of improper guidance and I don't want anyone to face the same. So will let you know as much as I'm gathering knowledge from online or others.

Yesterday I just mailed the packet 3 to the Immigration Department, Mumbai. Hope they receive it on time and upload my case number in the December's interview list. I'm waiting eagerly to receive packet 4, once I receive it I'll do the medicals straight way and apart from that I've got all the documents ready

we are going through the same process because everything has changed after sept 26th..we actaullay got our interview on the 30th of october without doing any packets, fees or anything..we just paid for the fees and have all the packets filled out but still have no idea where to send them.they said packet 3 has been mailed out but we are still waiting for it this is almost 3 weeks ago.we have been calling traveldocs call center and they are telling us it is priveleged information.."what does that mean!!!" its my information..i just need an address to send the packets to...we spoke to another person at vfs and they are telling us we dont have to send the packets anywhere and to bring it with us to the interview and the process has changed..I just dont know who to believe anymore and time is ticking on us..emailing traveldocs is completely useless..they give a generic answer and close the case without answering the question..does anyone in india know where to send the packets or do we just bring them to the interview..? any help would be great and if i find a definitive answer ill post back

hey! I mentioned in my last reply that I emailed support-india@ustraveldocs.com to ask them about which procedure to follow as far as scheduling the interview is concerned. i haven't heard back from them and I don't intend of waiting for weeks for a reply. at this time, there are only two options that i can follow:

1 - I registered online at http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/index.html just to see what the new site is all about and entered all of my fiances information. after entering all of my fiance's information I was left at a page that gave me payment options for the visa fee. after the fee is paid in cash a axis bank i have to go back online and enter my receipt number on the payment page and i'm guessing that scheduling the 2 appointments 1) fingerprinting before interview 2) the interview at us delhi embassy is what is going to be done next. still unsure whether my fiance should submit docs to VFS or take them with him on the day of the interview??

2 - email infousdelhi@vfshelpline.com my fiance's applicants statement and form DS-230 Part 1 and wait for them to give me an interview date in Packet 4. what i am unsure is how the visa fee will be paid, where the fingerprinting will be done, how the 2 interviews will be scheduled etc etc?? its very confusing !!

at this point it seems as if option 1 seems to be the ideal way because at least that way i can have my 2 appointments (fingerprinting & interview appointments) and visa fee will be paid. im thinking that i should just have my fiance submit notarized photocopies at VFS prior to interview with a letter stating that this was done because of the unclear guidelines on new delhi embassy website and also state that originals will be brought to the interview, hence only notarized photocopies are being provided (so just in case VFS misplaces or disregards or loses our documents..my fiance will still have all of his documents for the interview in new delhi for k1 visa)

this is just a thought, but i would like other's opinions about what everyone else is doing. if anyone has any knowledge about new delhi's new procedure for interview scheduling for k1 visa..please update us on here! please !

i guess i have to disregard the reply that i posted on the top because I decided to call ustraveldocs at +91 120 6602222 again and i spoke to 3 different representatives just to confirm what they would say. I was told by all 3 representatives that for K1 VISA ..nothing has to be done online. we have to wait for packet 3 in the mail and only then will they give us an interview date in packet 4 from us new delhi embassy. i guess this is what I will do because there isn't anything else that i can think of. i just wanted to update you all with my convos with the representatives at ustraveldocs support center. once again..if anyone finds out anything different about the procedure for k1 visa new delhi..please do share on here!

Your right, I also spoke to US-TravelDocs, for 3 days in a row to different customer Rep's both online and on phone....for K1 we have to do nothing, just wait for the reply from the US embassy as they themselves will send the Packet 3 which will be having the further instructions. Once the processing is done at the New Delhi US Embassy , then they will send u the packet 3 and Packet 4 for the Interview dates scheduling. Hope for the Best and good time to come..

Try the Email, cis.ndi@dhs.gov and CIUND@state.gov for Individual case status update directly from Embassy.Hope it works for people..

hey!! called dos on monday and found out my fiance's interview is on dec 10th. did not receive packet 3 however, packet 4 was mailed on oct 22nd so should be expecting it soon.

--do you know whether we are supposed to take documents to the interview or submit them at VFS before interview?
