Hi everyone

I have a quick question. I have applied for my husband (Pakistani nationality) who lives in the Uk currently. Before quitting my job (medical/pregnancy etc reasons) he used to send me some money from time to time instead of sending a gift. Now that I am not working for the past few months, he has been sending me some money monthly. Would this sort of evidence be frowned upon by the immigration officer at the interview? The amount is only in the 100s by the way not thousands of dollars.

The reason I am asking this is because I have come across some posts in this forum suggesting that showing western union money transfer receipts is sometimes a "Red Flag" at the interview.

Is it bad to show the receipts if my husband likes to send me a 100-200 sometimes?

I don't see why a husband sending money to his wife would cause a red flag.

It's part of your husband's responsibility to financially support you so I don't see any reason to worry about it.

My husband also sends me money on a monthly basis. I'm keeping the remittance slips in case the consul would ask for it during the interview.

And also, it doesn't matter how much money your husband is sending.

Hope this helps. :innocent:

thanks for replying apple21

The reason I was asking is because I am the Green card holder applying for my husband, but he is the one sending me money. Usually it's the husband from here is sending wife, who's abroad, money.

Are you the petitioner or the beneficiary?

I am the beneficiary.

I see, because you are the petitioner and you are currently unemployed.

You can take a co-sponsor to help you in filing the Affidavit of Support for your husband.

No reason for that to cause a red flag. If they ask why he is sending you money just give them the reason if you use it as part of your relationship evidence.
